sitting in a safespot, in 0.0, in one of the pipe systems, thinking "i'm just going to close my eyes for a second here" - woke up to pew pew sounds coming out of my speakers and half the hull left
out of curiosity deciding to check out the info on a Rook that just uncloaked in the same belt (2 months old at the time and no idea what a R0ok is)
a bit older me out of curiosity hanging out observing a sniper - don't need to say anything else on how that went - i swear i gotta stop being so curious about things

Lost a T2 fitted dominix to a mission yesterday. Had cleared the first stage and approached and activated the jump-gate to the next stage. A RL emergency followed, and I simply forgot what I had just done. Came back 10 minutes later to find myself in a pod, and a lot of smiling NPC rats floating around me.
At least I got to salvage my own ship.

I once lost a Guardian during a POS siege.
There were a few cap ships pounding at the POS, while i was setup in the middle of nowhere as a hospital for the support fleet.
I got bored and thought i'd warp to the cap ships at 100km, thinking i would be behind the cap ships in safty of the POS guns. But only after i had initiated warp, i realised that i didn't know how the cap ships was aligned towards the pos.. and sure enough, i ended with the pos right smack in front of me .

A friend of mine was playing from work, ratting in 0.0 in his CNR (yes, rich person - he has even got several PvP kills in one!) something happened at work that required his attention, so left the PC - came back to find a pod, a can, and some very happy Angel BSs!

There was that one time I was determined I was right that you could travel in 1.0 with -2.5sec rating (alcohol may have been involved). Scratch one claw.
Then there are other times I've died to belt rats because "I'm not going to warp out cause of some damn rat". Whoops
Oh, and today after listening intently to TS, and hearing them say "Hostiles on other side of the gate, we'll take the other route", coolly and calmly warped to the camped gate, jumped through, and realised what I'd done about 10 seconds later. Coulda logged to save my pest from the 3 carriers before they aggressed, but that woulda been lame. Think I can put this one down to a migraine though.
Prolly gonna lose my new one later tonight

Hitting the dock button while sitting a planet and going AFK is not a good idea either. Turns out my ceptor warped to the station and parked itself right outside of docking range. About 15 mins later someone came by and pod killed me. Bye bye snakes ---------------------------

A classic story by my corpmate "Crescend", send him your evemails congratulating him please :D
Here goes: Sirppala System, Kaalakiota Factory Station
"So in short, these ****ers need killing. Get moving."
The agent was getting disturbingly bloodthirsty. Granted, vital research materials and such were missing, but for someone who claimed to not sully his hands with all that sordid weaponry garbage, this was somewhat unexpected. It was like a small chihuahua baring its teeth at a wolfhound and fully expecting the 120-pound killer to roll over and play dead.
Now, despite feeling somewhat put-upon, I knew my own limits. I may be a better fighter than Mr. Stay-In-Station-And-*****-Daily, but I know when I - and more importantly, my Incursus frigate - are outmatched.
So I did the next-best thing. When the going gets tough, the tough call in reinforcements. A quick scan of the local comchannels located a fellow Zitek member in the area. Opening up my corporate comms, I quickly and decisively begged for help.
Kuntuna (the aforementioned corpmate) was glad to help. Forming up into a gang, we made best speed for the location of the Gurista group that offended the Caldari State, the civilized nations, CONCORD, the Sisters of Eve, the Amarr High Theoarch, half of the Gallente (the other half supported them on general principles), my aunt Tesoko, and most importantly, my bloodthirsty agent.
We sighted the enemy and with my Incursus bravely covering the rear, Kuntuna opened up with his Caracal's torpedo launchers. Red, yellow, and blue plasma flares lit the near space as torpedos streaked towards their targets. Kuntuna made short work of the three Gurista targets, so quick as to have a salvo still enroute when the last pirate ship exploded into tritanium dust, globs of engine coolant, and shreds of whatever ****ographic magazine the pirate pilot was busy utilizing when he was ambushed.
I thanked Kuntuna for his assistance, decided to quickly grab the lost research materials from a dropped canister and headed full-speed towards the location of the canister - the same location that was programmed into the last torpedo salvo's navigation computers as it was the last location that the pirate craft occupied.
Some of you may already be smiling. You're bastards, the lot of you.
My Incursus (Long Horn) deserves some introduction. It is designed for maximum velocity at any cost. Nanofiber internal structure, afterburners out the wazoo, and most importantly, a microwarpdrive. Given a good day, a clear path, and a lot of alcohol for its pilot prior to launch, it can do almost 4 kilometers per second.
From my position behind Kuntuna's Caracal, I got a bearing on the can and engaged all boosters. My Incursus shuddered and accelerated to almost 2km/s, quickly streaking towards the can, at this point almost 40 km away.
The torpedos, however, were only 20km away. On the same vector.
More of you are smiling now. You're still bastards.
Accelerating for all it's worth, my Incursus streaked directly towards the cans...and directly into the torpedos. From behind.
Note to self: poking a Mjolnir torpedo in its (lit) plasma motor with the long sensor boom of an Incrusus at a relative velocity of 2km/s (and accelerating) is a bad idea.
Next thing I knew, I was overshooting the cans, most of my armor was gone, my left engine cluster was being deposited behind me in bite-sized chunks, and Kuntuna's incredulous laughter was ringing in my ears.
Probably all of you are laughing now. You're double-bastards.
My agent got his damn research materials (a whopping 600 Mexallion). Kuntuna got to shoot his torpedos off. A few mid-ranking Gurista pilots got to sample the fine experience of clone activation.
And I learned that poking live torps from the rear is a bad idea.
I'm going to go kick my agent in the nuts now. On general principles.

Originally by: The Pointless Hi, finally bothered posting
Anyways, yesterday I took an Exequror into Elarel to do some mining, and after finally finding a field without rats and with Pristine Jaspet, I set my lasers away.
Keeping an eye on my overview, I spotted someone warp in with a Low security status. Being the jumpy sort, I immediately hit the nearest "Warp to 0" option, only to discover I'd been warp scrambled and I was on the receiving end of a Nos. And my armour and hull was going down faster than an anvil being dropped to Jupiter. Crud.
One "BOOM!" later, I made my exit as soon as, and made my feelings on the encounter known
The response from the guy that blew up my 3m ISK cruiser? "I didn't mean to destroy it, I just wanted to test out my setup! I didn't expect to pop you that quick."
(Oh that's just fan-dabby-dozy, isn't it?)
Now, I'm certain there are better ways to test out a ship's setup (Give you a hint: A jetcan and a willing guinea pig helps a lot), so that excuse was just... dumb.
Thankfully the fool's corp-mate was in the system at the time repay me for the ship, since - surprise, surprise - the fool was skint, but since it took me more than an hour to buy a new Exeq and re-equip it, I've decided to keep out of Elarel for a bit unless I need to pass through it.
Anyways, anyone else managed to lose their ship under dumb circumstances?
lolz - take it on the chin its a classic pie answer to a "why did u kill me" whine

Lost two ships by stupid means, dont know which one the most stupid so I post both. (Does that make me twice as stupid as the rest of you guys?) ;)
Had a Dominix filled with named stuff and my best ratting loot from a 2 month trip in 0.0. I was changing station so I brought out my most expensive suff in my Domi. Happy happy I made it out of low sec in one piece! Was coming through Ammarr space and entered Minmatar. Concord window pops up telling me I have contraband in the hold. Jesus all mighty! Some elite slaves has found their way in my ship. (stoweaways no doubt) ;) I tried to jettison and pay fees but due to a bug that was not possible. Tried to tank Concord for a minute or so til my dear Domi went up in flames with all my stuff. I got back the domi and perhaps half the stuff from the petition but the rest was bye bye. Cost me some sweet hudreds upon hundreds millions of isk. Made me almost cry there.
The other time I was mining in 0.6 space in an Apoc. Fell asleep in front of the screen. Woke up just in time to witness my Apoc go up in flames. Ganked by Gurista belt rats in 0.6 who knew. :) Insurance? Why I was mining in high sec. ;) I just had to laugh.

From my wee days, in some random high-sec system off of Jita. Just getting into my Cruiser (Osprey) and happily counting the obscene Isk I would make from jetti-mining. Out of the blue comes a sneaky character named Blind Man, stealing 1 ore from my can. I laugh for myself and continue to mine, amused at his stupidity. A small ship can't loot much ore, I can replace that faster. Next I know the almost full can of Concentrated Veldspar is gone! It has been replaced by a can he made, oh I was MAD
Docked, grabbed my JUST gotten Badger II and warped back to steal HIS can! That will teach him...had a very hard time warping...something about interrupted...few seconds later my pod warp back to the station and I have learned a valuable lesson.
For months Blind Man was on my hit list, until I understood that I will never make up the gap in pvp experience and that the lesson was cheap.

Back at the very beginning of Eve, as i've bought my very first tristan for 200k isk i was like "oh, let me try to fit those smartbombs and cargo scanners". In front of a station I then wanted to scan a corp mate and well, instead of the Alt+F1 i hit F1. Sentries didn't like me much after that.

There was this week old alt bumming around my constellation, generally raising a ruckus.
So we get into it, he accepts my gang invite, but by the time i get there the aggro timer has run out and he is sitting on a gate in a 0.5 right next to concord.
This leaves me EXTREMELY unsatisfied, so i get a cheap cruiser with t1 fittings, planning to kamikazi him as soon as he leaves the concord presesnce.
When i get back to the gate, he ejects and says in gang 'GET THE POD!!' i figure why not, ill go for it.
i dont even get 1 full salvo off before im wtfbbq'd, his pod still has a hair of structure left, and he starts mocking my rushed fitting after looking at my wreck
was the most fun i had in high sec in quite awhile

Posted this in C&P a while ago:
"This is a story of shame, a story of good intentions going bad...
I was happily salvaging a mission in high sec when I read in local someone complaining of about an orethief. I convo said guy and ask him to gang me so I can take care of the thief. Guy accepts and I go get my Arbitrator. I find the thief but he's not flashing red, so I go steal HIS ore in an attempt for him to aggro. I target, and release drones.. still nothing. All of a sudden, a Typhoon warps in. "I'm dead", thinks I. Not only is this bad enough, but I start shooting... the guy that I had targeted... which hasn't aggroed. So I was promptly raped by both thieves AND Concord... How ironic...
But the shame doesn't stop there. I go back to my station, and in an effort to right this wrong, I hop into my Raven, fit it quickly for PvP, and undock... only to be once again Concordokkened as the Global Criminal Countdown hadn't expired yet. Best part is, I didn't have enough loose change to insure my ship for more than 50%...
Oh well! At least I got 13 Charred Microcircuits out of salvaging my own BS... *sigh*"
P.S. God I hate these forums.

Fitted out a crow gistii mwd, local hulls, 40m rig, 16m rig
Go roam 0.0 with a pvp gang, jump into low sec ( don't really have much experience in low sec so I don't know when to shoot and when to stop before sentries go pew pew )
Saw a global flagged guy die to sentries, and he was still blinking red on my screen so i locked him and warp scrammed him. Sentries didn't do anything to me at all. Webbed him, still nothing. Take a shot.... bam im in a pod.
I never even got the you have foolishly engaged message. I was aligned to next gate and would have warped but that message never showed up at all so I got shot to half shields hit warp... lagged for 2 minutes found my self in a pod and our FC calling me a dumbass.
Oh well, gistii and local hulls survived \o/.
Took out my uber ibis and helped killed a few ships in it =)

He then decides unannounced he would test his DPS on me.
Not sure how good his DPS was, but his alpha was good enough to vaporize my poor ranis

"no room, gonna go dock real quick and unload some stuff."
