The Firetail, Stabber fleet issue and Hurricane fleet issue now have a 10% tracking bonus per skill level. On the other side, the Tempest fleet issue is actually worse than his T1 equivalent in term of dps and only gain an additional low slot and some more CPU and PWG.
Is it possible for the Tempest fleet issue to get a sweet tracking bonus just like the firetail and hurricane fleet issue? For now this faction BS isn't worst its price especially compared to his Tech 1 brother. With the way I like to play, a tracking bonus would make it really good for artillery or more brawly fits just like the hurricane fleet and stabber fleet issue are really fun to play with.

I think you answered yourself. +50% tracking for arty baked into the hull is too much. It's just too much to bake into a BS. |

I understand it seems very strong but arties struggle quite a lot in terms of tracking if you don't have 2 huggins webbing and target painting your target |

Which is commensurate with their alpha strike capability. Arties can't track a lot of the ships they can alpha. If they can suddenly track those ship, it would be fleet tempests online.
PROHINT: arties need to have trouble tracking the things they can alpha for game balance. |

The hurricane fleet issue is capable of alpha striking many frigates and destroyers off the field, and a gang of them is capable of blapping cruisers with ease, and few see this as a problem. Machs boast exceedingly good application at range thanks to their falloff bonus, which when utilized, is a de facto tracking bonus.
Rebalancing the TFI to include bonuses in line with the rest of the minmatar gun boats would certainly yield a powerful ship that lends itself to fleet doctrines well, but it would hardly be game breaking. Even with a 50% damage bonus, for fleet applications, we'd see alpha numbers similar to arty maelstroms, as the ship's slot layout is poor for shield tanking.
In any event, It'd be rather nice to see battleship doctrines that contend with armor t3s. |

- Navy Apocalypse - Navy Megathron - Navy Raven (explosion velocity bonus)
- Nightmare - Vindicator
All have tracking (explosion velocity) bonuses. 7.5%. Looks nice to me.
Sneaky bastard.

Arty Machariel fleets are common, and they don't even sport any sort of tracking bonus. They are together with Rattlesnakes one of the most powerfull subcapital fleet composition you can get now. Giving the Tempest Fleet Issue the Hurricane fleet issue treatment will make it among the strongest subcapital fleet wise.
The only change i'd add to the Tempest Fleet Issue is giving it the 7.5% ROF bonus like the Tempest get's. And ofcourse a larger cargohold but that's what ALL battleships should recieve.

The TFI just needs the rate of fire bonus increase like the Tempest got. Its DPS sucks because it gets standard-size bonus to a substandard-size group of weapons. It needs a bigger bonus.
But I'd support also changing its damage bonus to tracking. Would be nice to vary it up a bit.

Vargur have some 40% track bonus and you don't see them clearing up tranquility of all things moving while it helps over non bonuses hull 10% more woild not brake the game.
Thing to remember its not just tracking that's a drawback to artys it is eternal rate of fire as well as lowish range and in case of battleship battlecruiser dps numbers. |

It would not be fleet tempest online because the hull supply would dry out... |

None of the listed ships can sport a full rack of damage bonused arty. 7.5% looks OP to me when combined w/ a damage/level or ROF/level bonus. It's too much for a full rack of arty.
It's about the full rack of arty. That's what makes it bad. |
