As a rookie player to EVE (10 million SP), it's struck me as a bit odd that players are timelocked by SP to using items on SISI in the same way they are on TQ. I can see the rationale as a means for DEVs to both encourage players to show up for mass tests (for the 2 million SP reward) and follow the item use progression by players who may already have existing experience with items on TQ.
However, as someone with very little SP in the grand scheme of things, I do feel stymied by this timelock approach to testing items on SISI. Recalling the tranquility tech III server test event on Solace was a very novel and enlightening moment for me--having the ability to use anything and everything. Oh course, I tried a Titan, yet if I had more than a day to play around in that type of environment I'd choose to test other ships and doctrines seriously, rather than simply frolic around in novelty bling ships.
Proposal
-Timed 12 hour implant that alters a player's Brain-In-The-Box attributes to max skillpoints. -Must pause SISI skill queue to use. -Implant disables use of skill extractor. -One implant provided at the beginning of each SISI mirror. -Additional implants may be provided to players by attending mass test events. -Implants can be traded to other players.
Proposal Expansion
Create a unique region of artificial space, e.g. Anoikis. -Players cannot active the Max SP implant anywhere except this region of space. -Leaving this region/constellation via gates, cyno, /moveme command either blocks the player or destroys/disables the implant. -All EVE items seeded to this region, similar to the conditions of the Solace test server. |

I have to agree with this guy.
But I'll explain in detail what he meant by that one-word reply.. that isn't a word.. moving on.
I scrapped all my characters to make this, gave 90% of my items away in Dodixie (Some can confirm this) because I like to make new characters. Anyway, on with the description.
Having all skill points and/or skills will simply negate any and all testing on SiSi simply due to the fact they want to test multiple regions of piloting such as scanning, fleeting, mining, PvPing, missioning, ratting and all the 'ings'.
So a broad spectrum of players, old and new, will be more beneficial to the testing phase rather than having everyone have all the skills in the game. Think about it, most of the SiSi community (On the hypothetical "all skills" test) will spend all their time playing around in Titans, Dreads, FBS's etcetera, nobody would do any actual testing, just playing around which is not the intention of a test server.
I'm sorry to disappoint you and I apologize if it seems condescending, but this won't happen.
If you want all skills etcetera, become a GM or a Dev or a really rich person that can buy CCP or rights to their game and do it yourself. |

@Lee Maulerant
I'm talking about a 'temporary' key. It could even be a temporary authorization key once a month to use something like the Solace test server. Here everything is available to the player to help give them a tangible feel of something they may want to skill into.
I only see this as benefiting subbed early player retention, while the temporary access feature doesn't majorly disturb the testing environment CCP has cultivated. |

Effectively this post was "CCP please implement an item that will allow me to do anything I want without putting in the time and effort to aquire it". People don't realise that singularity is not designed for players to test things for themselves, but for CCP to test bugs and new features. It's not just a server where you can screw around and do as you please. |

Again this is a temporary unlock tool that can be awarded by showing up for test events. |
