Any help on fitting this beauty for PvP?
Currently I have it sitting on drydock, waiting for AWU and T2 weaponry skills, but so far I've fitted it with:
Named AB, named webber(X5), and ofc warp disruptor. Also has Dark Blood resistance platings.
Well, propably what I'm asking is, is it really worth it to fit it with T2 lasers or just stick with all-round nosses? Guess it would be most useful to take advantage of all the bonuses it has. Clearly it is "just" a supporting ship, a resilient tackler if you will. Also, would MWD be better? Propably yes but I'll ask it anyway. -------------------

All I can tell you is it's a fine ship, I love my Ashimmu and her little brother, the Cruor, so much. one of those two is often all I fly now when it's not a mining barge ;p Sorry though, not divulging my fitting ;.;

I hope you like reactor control units, because this thing lacks the powergrid to mount anything resembling a good fitting. _________________________________________________________

qft
I bought one of these puppies hoping for something that it just wasn't. After fitting the nos (3 or 4 at the least only makes sense given the bonus') I barely had room for weaps and a light tank. Not to mention no drone bay.
So, while it is sexy, its in my hangar repackaged. I trained up amarr cruiser 5 to get the real-deal-Holyfield t2 model, ashimuu in its current state is little more than a pretty hull.
Only uses for pvp is w/ a good sized gang as NOS support, which is a role many other ships perform better w/o the drawbacks of low tank and ****ty DPS.

2x nos, 4x vulcan auto II that the way for the hi's give you powergrid and room for a tank, it can take on Hac's and win :) ______________________________________________________ |

How about this
Hi Med Nos II Med Nos II Med Nos II 220mm Vulcan II 220mm Vulcan II 220mm Vulcan II 220mm Vulcan II
Med: MWD II X5 Web Fleeting scrammer
Low: Nanofiber Hull Inertia Stabilizer ENAM II Gyro Stab II Plate(whatever fits)
Just orbit at 11-12km range, web, scram and suck them dry. Even if you get nossed yourself you can pop the dictor/inties that are following you very quick with the vulcan web combo. An AB with a more tanked setup would work well too, such as Med Rep II and ENAM II/Dmg Control II unstead of the inertia stab and nano hull.

an AC rupture could tear you to pieces?

That's because ac ruptures rock hard. I'd switch the lows for marII, eanm, eanm, dcu, instab and use it as a heavy tackler. Maybe leaning to more nos then acs if they fit. Don't avoid fitting the dual 180's to free up extra grid since you'll probably need it and they're not bad guns anyway.

I always found this ship useful for stopping nano ships and vagas, get two faction long range webs, as long as you can and get minny cruiser to 5(think thats the skill for the webs) then web the crap out of something so your friends can kill it,
though truth be told with minny cruiser to 5 it aint that far to get a rapier.
food for thought anyways

That's the sad thing, really. The Ashimmu really isn't that great of a nos ship, compared to a Curse, and it's not that great of a webbing ship, compared to a Huginn. You'll be able to purchase and fit out a reasonable Curse or Huginn for about the cost of the Ashimmu hull, too.
But, God, is it ever a sexy looking ship.
Plus, the HP boost really helped it, quite a bit. All the faction ships, being tech 1, got unholy boosts.

I wasnt aware faction ships were supposed to be better then tech 2 :p
the only ones that are really the top of their class right now are BS but I am willing to wager that if a tech 2 assault style battleship for each race came in game they would probably utterly destroy the faction ships.
but really anyone flying one of these should know you are not getting your moneys worth in pure ability but in style and rarity
