Sometimes I create contracts to give items to friends or alts.
When the recipient goes to accept the contract, there is a confirmation dialog. In other words you have to click twice, once to accept the contract and then again to confirm that you want to accept the contract.
Now, the way I see it, if the player clicks the "Accept" button, that means they want to accept the contract. It seems kind of idiotic to me to say, "YES I REALLY WANT TO ACCEPT THE CONTRACT". By that logic, why not have a third button "Are you sure you really, really want to accept the contract? This is your last chance to back out of it." Its like that idiotic popup that Windows used to have that said "Trash has 18 items in it. Are you sure you want to remove them permanently?" every time you tried to delete anything.
Anyway, besides the above, I do not see why we need confirmation at all on contracts that do not require any ISK or tradable items in return. If the contract is one-sided and does not require a payment of any kind, there is no reason to confirm the acceptance. |

Yeah, those are there for a reason. The reason being that people were unable to double check contract details before accepting them, and CCP got sick of the incessant whining when those people fell for scams. Remove those checks, and CCP will have to deal with more whining from the sheeple.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
I couldn't have said it better.
Hello, Mr Carebear. Would you like some cheese with that whine?

Did you even read my suggestion? THERE IS NO REASON TO FORCE A CONFIRM ON A CONTRACT THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE A COUNTERPAYMENT because such contracts are never scams. |

Yeeeeaaaaah... it was made this way because people wanted it that way.
Why? Because everyone kept checking that little "Do not show this message again" box and then complained when they did get scammed.
And the system does not differentiate between friends, alts, or scammers. Because computers cannot discern intent.
How did you Veterans start?

I did not, however, read your justification whine. Your tantrum missed the mark, I still stand by my prior comments.

I am trying to make useful suggestions to the developers.
All you guys do is post sarcasm, put downs and snide remarks.
Half the people who comment on the suggestions do not even read the suggestions and it is not just my posts that suffer from these incoherent responses by people who can't bother to read more than one sentence out of the post. Not to mention the people who know nothing about what they are talking. I notice every PVP player especially thinks he is an expert in the market system and trading.
If you do not have anything constructive to post, why don't you mind your business.
If you don't like my posts then GTFO and go somewhere else.
Sorry for trying to improve the game, something you obviously stopped doing years ago.

That probably has something to do with your special blend of Dunning-Kruger syndrome and petty whinging.
Who the **** cares if you have to click a confirmation, even when the contract requires no payment? Is that REALLY worth special-casing when the easy thing to do is just flash the confirmation on all contracts?
If nothing else, this should have been posted in the stickied "little things" thread. God knows, it's hard to get less ******* significant than this ****.

Your suggestions fall into one of four categories.
- One click is too much effort, so CCP please code something to remove it.
- I can't be bothered to double check anything before I press OK, CCP do it for me.
- I don't like someone else's profession, nerf it.
- I like my profession, buff it.
You also assume that anyone who disagrees with you didn't read what you wrote.
Sometimes the simplest solution isn't to change the game, but to adapt how you play the game. This is called learning. For instance, when I try something new in the game, and it doesn't work out right, I don't ask CCP to change it so it works the way I want it to. No, I adapt my play style so that I become successful at it using the tools already provided.
Lastly, you're playing a MMO with thousands of other people. When presenting yourself into the public areas ofmthat game, you have to deal with the various personalities of those people. If you're unable to deal with sarcasm, snide remarks, inuendo, et al, then perhaps a reconsideration of your decision to become a public figure is called for. Not everyone is going to agree with you is one of those facts of life that you just have to deal with.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
