Hi! I wanted to ask about huge difference in subscribe prices for Russian Federation and other CIS (ex-USSR) countries. I live in Ukraine and have to pay 131.40 USD for 12 month while players from Russia paying 4900 RUB (about 62 USD). Why do we have to pay two times more while Russians have more income? Can CIS-countries have some kind of discount too? |

The amount I save will be way more than the foreign currency fee my card charges.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
I couldn't have said it better.

It may be because of the different income of various countries that define how much 131 dollars is in reality.

Perhaps overthrowing your government and installing one that fixes more favourable exchange rates might be an option?

Russia annexed Crimea. The world though Russia was naughty. Sanctions imposed. Currency reduced to ruble (ho ho) - value halved since mid 2014. Russian price remained at 4900 RUB, so that is worth fewer USD now.

This may also be a basis of subscription.
I pay monthly, thus I pay $15 x 12 = $180 USD a year. If I did a 1 year sub, I'd pay significantly less.
So, are you paying a monthly sub and comparing it to a yearly sub? |

None, you just need a pitchfork and a torch.
Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

Well life's tough. Space is harsh. CCP profits. Some have to work 25 hours to afford yearly subscription plan. Some people have to work one. Some 50. CCP wont change your living conditions, subscription is a service and you should move to a country where minimal wage doubles your current average to feel better about it. Currency is fixed once you create your account as far as I know, but I have heard that you can bypass this on steam.
Others call me weak for not condescendingly speaking to plebs, but they are those speaking to plebs at all fortunately only those in "imperium" are plebs.

I'd recommend you use a regional proxy, and buy your subscriptions through that.
Don't explain your philosophy. Embody it.

If you buy your subscription through a third party, they are generally going to add a cut. Also, sometimes there are regional sales or incentives that you could be picking up on.
I use a VPN sometimes to make purchases. This helped with steam when I was in Europe. Steam wanted to charge me euros because I was in Europe, and then charge me to convert back to dollars. So I used a vpn to make steam only charge me once in dollars without the double conversion.
My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.
