My problem is that I set up two jobs in a conquerable station, quit the game for half a year, came back and that area of space is unfriendly now. Is there anything I can do?

Expensive BPOs? If that's the case you can always...
* Create an alt
* Join a corp in that alliance to gain access to the station
* Make a contract (the new escrow) to pass BPO from main to alt.
* Bring the BPO back with the alt (and don't get blown up in the process).

You can pay the owners of that space to give you temporarily access to it .. (suggest going into a jumpclones and a shuttle tho).
Me being a pessimist is a win-win situation:

If your main issue is, that your research slots are tied up and you want to get them free then solution is relatively easy. You would need to train skills 'scientific networking' (lev 1 - starsystem, lev 2 - 5 jumps, lev 3 - 10 jumps). It would let you to 'deliver' those jobs without doking in that station without needing to actually dock in there and so freeing up your research slots.

Thanks! That's what I was looking for... Didn't know if that skill would work due to it saying you can start them from that far away but it doesn't say anything about delivering them.

Actually you can start remote jobs with that skill to.
The limiter is that the BPO has to be in the same station as the installation.
Basically you can't sit in empire with you're BPO in a nice "safe" station and start a job in lowsec, but once the BPO is out there you can stay safe (its just getting it back thats risky).
