There is a bug in the game that will allow you to see all space as black. I dont want to tell what it is because i dont want them to "fix" it. Try and find it though, its fairly obvious.

Depends on who you ask, but that may be considered an exploit (ie, giving you an unfair advantage). The sun often makes it difficult to see what modules you are activating. Personally I could give a ding-dong less, but you might be careful.

CCP, you guys should ban the dude just for this attitude. He stated that he knows how to do it, and he showed you screen shots of him doing it. He is exploiting a bug, although graphical, can be considered giving himself an advantage over others due to not loading the backgrounds. BAN!

Tsk tsk. Someone clearly didnt even look at the screenshots. The sun is still there the nebula is just gone. I for one hope they dont "fix" it either. - - - These elite slaves are exceptionally well suited for physical labor. |

Oh noes, there is actually a chance to not break ones eyes looking through the transparent overview into the fascinating whiteness that might be called stellar background.
It also might be called a PITA.
Although i prefer looking at my modules changing from white to light green against a white background.
Or clicking through a window to lock some wreck or whatever. That's nice, too!
Jiekon, you just went over the top. Way over.
So far, as i can see, there is only one window of opportunity (read posting) left for you in this thread. I suggest you choose wisely.

It does look quite nice, actually. I do feel that some of the glowing space nebulae in eve are a bit excessive.

Experienced it a few times since 2 days ago. Undocking from a station the background was lacking, and the warp tunnel showed itself too early, about the time i hit "Warp to...". The warp tunnel would also not disappear until i was completely out of warp, much longer than usual. The very same effects hit me in my new system after jumping until i left it or hit a special place like a deadspace complex or a COSMOS location. I noted this very welcome bug for three times now, and it reverted to normal when leaving the second star system all the time.

The downside to this bug though, is that you must keep the map "on"...unless I'm doing it wrong.
Please make it a feature :(

Those are so sexy!
I didn't realize just how much I WANT space to be more like... well, space until I saw those.
CCP, for the love all things pew pew, please at least turn down the brightness on the nebula. Especially in systems like the hot pink one I happen to be residing in recently... please.
