Dr Aryandi	Posted - 2007.02.07 17:38:00 - [1] Dr Aryandi's Research Service I am an established science and industry specialist with a research POS in high security space. I have considerable research capacity and currently have more slots available than my own industrial needs require. There are two services on offer and both use my personal research laboratories. This means both that there is no queue and that research is 20% faster than in a station. For example researching a cruiser BPO to ME10 would take 16 days using my service, compared to 40 days or more using public research slots. The difference is even more dramatic with ammunition, which can take 1 or 2 days instead of 20 or more. Research existing BPO (ME or PE): The BPO will be sent to me in high security space. I will research it to the required level of ME and PE and then return it to you. For an additional fee (negotiable depending on distance etc) I will come and pick up the BPO for you or bring it to you once research completes. Cost: Cost is variable depending on the BPO but as a rule of thumb the following costs apply for 10 levels of ME or PE: Battleship 100 Mill Battlecruiser 50 Mill Crusier 20 Mill Frigate 2 Mill Modules and Ammunition 500k to 1 mill Please contact me for a quote on the job you need doing. Procedure: Once a quote is accepted you will trade or contract the BPO to me. I will place it into research and inform you of the date when it will be ready. Once it is ready I will trade or contract the researched BPO back to you in exchange for my fee. Research new BPO (ME or PE): I will purchase and research any BPO that is available on high security NPC sell orders for you. I will research it to the required level and then send it to you once the research is complete. Cost: The cost is the same as for researching an existing BPO, with the addition of the cost of BPO purchase. If I need to go a long way to purchase the BPO then a small surcharge may be asked for depending on the size of the order. Procedure: Once a quote is accepted I will be sent the Isk up front. I will use that to purchase the BPO and perform the research. As soon as research begins you will be mailed informing you of the fact and also giving the completion date. Once the research is complete the BPO will be traded or contracted back to you in the high sec system of your choice. Other details: Security: All BPOs will be transported in a blockade runner, freighter or ship of similar security. If any BPO is lost in transit then I will pay the cost of replacing it. The POS research labs will be accessed remotely from the station so no BPO will be vulnerable within the POS, and even though it is in high security space the POS itself is a large one with significent defences. Access to the hanger from which they are researched is completely restricted so there is no risk of corp theft. Insurance: I realise that this system requires a level of trust from those using my services. I would like to be able to offer collatoral but it is rare that I have free Isk as it all gets re-invested. If you require collatoral then for a fee it may be possible to provide it, however as those who have used my services can testify I am trustworthy, prompt and efficient. I am aiming to build a sustained business here, and to do that I want happy customers who keep returning for more. Unclaimed BPOs: If a BPO is not collected once research is complete then I will hold the BPO for one month from the completion date. After one month has passed I will send you 50% of the BPOs isk value and keep or sell the BPO. Spreading the word: If you recommend my services to someone and they place an order then as a small thanks you will recieve some Isk or a discount on your next research job.

Since I am doing these anyway there is no need to hand me isk up front. Let me know your requirements and I will prioritise that in the next batch. They will buy your BPO off you at 100% NPC price and sell it back to you at NPC cost + their fee for the amount of research provided. There is ZERO risk to you as a customer unlike the operation this guy is running. Hell this guy wants to CHARGE you to provide collateral!?!? Just between you and me... you'd get a better price from the bigger players than this joker is offering AND get free collateral as well. Of course you can give your BPOs worth tens of millions to this guy and just "hope" he gives em back... or you could be safe and get a reputable researcher who will provide 100% colleteral. Here is a snippit of why my observations are important and on topic. You charge , 40 million to take a BC to 10ME. About 3 weeks research time. Sourced at actual market prices gathered today it should be more around 10-15 million. Market standards for sellling research servives are price per hour, per slot and any initial fees. I have worked out your per slot usage to be 790kper day for materiel research. (Give or take a few percentage points) Currently market standards are around 350k-480k per hour with 100% collateral. You are welcome to correct or challenge my calculations. In fact, I encourage it so eve consumers can compare "apples to apples" so people like me don't have to run the numbers for everyone. Now overcharging isn't evil by itself and you are welcome to charge whatever you want. However inflated prices usually are combined with some other intrinsic benefit or value to the consumer. How do you justify your prices especially when you put the consumer at risk by you not providing any collateral at all. You ask if I know if you committed fraud? Well not to my knowedge but you are overchgarging and placing eve consumers at extreme and unncessecary risk with your current "deal". I have no intention of debating or arguing with someone who came into the thread with the sole purpose of revenge for being called up on his arrogance. You do ask some questions that my customers might be interested in the answer too though so: I don't charge the same rate for all items. You have picked one of the most expensive to attempt to make some sort of point. You could equally calculate it for other types where I charge significently less than this mythical market average you have pulled out of thin air. There are reasons behind my prices, but I am not interested in discussing them here. Anyone contacting me for an order though is more than welcome to negotiate, and I normally offer discounts on large orders as a matter of course. I don't use the 'x isk per hour' system since that isn't what most customers will be interested in. If someone wants to research a cruiser BPO to ME20 (a common request) then he doesn't want to start looking at research time per hour on the BPO, remembering to allow for skills and slots, etc. He wants to look at a simple list and see 'that will cost me X isk'. I do not offer collatoral as I would lose money from profits in other areas by keeping isk tied up in that form instead of working for me. I do not, have not, and will not scam but that is a risk I have been clear about right from the start and is a decision people have to make. You know what the market rates are. You seem to just ignore them when convenient to do so. Is this not correct? You failed to answer my question as to why customers should choose your services over others who are cheaper and provide 100% collateral?? I just don't see it. Sure you may give back the BPOs when you have researched them even though you don't provide collateral like most of the researchers out there. But that alone does't make you "trustworthy" especially when you are covertly ripping folks off of millions of isk with your pricing policies. Taikun

I am still maxed out for a few days but the end is sight so I am starting to take orders again now. I charge what I need to charge to make it worth my time and cover my costs and the large capital outlay of setting up a POS. As I already said if you had paid attention my ME research costs vary per hour and you have chosen one of the more expensive examples. There are various reasons for the prices chosen and I am happy to discuss and negotiate with genuine customers, as opposed to trolls. I do have max skills on most, but not on all, of my researchers. You also might want to check the truth of your statement there as most researchers say that if the job is done by someone without max skills they will only charge the time required to do the job with max skills. I think its up to the customer to compare prices and decide if he wants to use a service or not. If I will ever be in the situation that I need researche done I will do so. Why someone complains that your prices are to high I cannot understand. He does not have to use your services. And if you have customers who are willing to pay your prices and are happy with it - why not. If I have the possibility to charge someone double market price I will do.(I dont say you do - as I do not know it and also dont care about it) If he is happy with the price I will be happy with my margin. In my opinion your services are as much about time saving as anything else, this is something the moaning people didnt touch on, not only are you providing a service for the research (yes it is more expencive than doing it yourself) but the quickest time possible for some one who just wants there BPO's to make them a better margin, they will make this back and it will be worth it. Kiara Valruth	Posted - 2007.05.03 20:21:00 - [71] It never ceases to amaze me how people will try and do whatever means necessary to discredit or hinder someone who is doing well for themselves, you have raised some valid concerns I admit, but it definately seems that you have singled out this service which by all accounts IS reputable by numerous clients, and I myself have used on several occasions. The danger of being a scam is always present its the chance that you take and its up to you as an individual to weigh up if the risk is worth it. The benefits to the service is obvious to all who use it, if you want your own BPO researched by someone who has skills to do so as well as the means, it saves time and effort on your behalf (where you could be sitting waiting for weeks otherwise, and that is assuming you have the skills required) If there are competitors who charge less for the same service then good for them, its the customers choice at the end of the day where they go, this service is in my local area, is reliable and I certainly will continue to keep using it. If you have proof to the contrary then by all means present it, otherwise STFU please And btw thanks for the research again Dr A much appreciated, will contact you soon with my next order
