I posted these ideas in the ideas section....Guess that was a bad idea since they went pretty much unread - so now I want feedback:
Racial tech II Destroyers - I want more racially unique ships so I suggest the following ships:
++ Amarr Prism Ships ++ - If you've played Epic Space Marine you will have seen Eldar Prism tanks (or Species 8472 planet killers for those Trekkies), where a group of Prism ships all fire at one specific Prism ship which focuses and sums their fire into one large blast. - Bonuses for focusing the fire into a large blast on larger ships such as Capital ships, maybe larger range for bigger blasts too etc
++ Caldari defense shield ships ++ - I suggest these ships are basically smaller logistics ships that have an area of effect to friendly shields (The Gungan effect for those Phantom Menace fans) - A visible shield is produced which allied ships get either increased shield recharge, shield boost or hardened shields within 20km areo of the logistics shield Planck Stabilizer ship (no bonuses if enemy is within this 'shield' area affect) - maybe even a slim chance to reflect some imcomming damage back at attackers
++ Gallente Drone Armada ships ++ - These ships should have a module capable of neutralizing or having a chance of taking control of enemies drones for a period of time. - Bonuses for allied/gang drones - Ability to bring under command the rogue drone types
++ Minmatar Salvager/Junker ++ - These ships should get salvage bonuses, get large remote hull repair bonus - maybe even capable of repairing a blown up wreck/hull - though such repaired ships would then need towing to a station. - Capable of carrying rigs and jury rigging allied ships while in space (maybe cycle to fit a rig to a friendly = calibration points in seconds).
My thoughts are this gives each race a new dimension for their fleets, gives more roles for people in fleets and would allow some sexy new ships with their own tactics into the game.
Your thoughts please?

I think the whole prism ship idea is really cool.
Although I do think that AOE web, shield, ect. are better left to bubbles like interdictors drop.

I like the ideas, they are well thought out and I can see you tried to find something usefull for each race. However the ideas don't seem to fit well into the current play style of eve.
For exemple, what you mentioned for the caldari ships is a copy pretty much of the vulture ship, and if it was put on a small ship would make that command ship useless.
As for the drone armada, neutralising drones seems like a good idea, but taking over drones would be in some situations overpowered, a t2 dessy taking over fighters from a carrier? yeah no thanks.
For the junker, I agree that we do need a dedicated salvaging ship. And the amarr idea seems like it could work, but I'm sure it would be a PAIN to code.
Still though, nice ideas, good luck

Give the gallente ship a major increase in drone speed since destroyers are supposed to be anti frigs. and it would be usefull in decloaking ships maybe

Heh Prism ships. If you make the blast AOE then it would scare blobbers thats for sure.

I admit the Caldari idea is prbably the worst of the lot. I originally though of a stacking area of effect shield, so multiple ships = a better shield...Get inside the shield area of effect though and you'd negate the shielding ships. I thought against that though since it'd probably be overpowered (like the rest of the calamari squid-for-brains ships! Hehe!). Cheers!

This is the only one I don't agree with. First of all, it doesn't help in combat, secondly it is abusable. Ship gets blown up, insurance is paid out, repair ship, bring it back to station, re-insure, take it back out and repeat.
I really like the idea of team based ships, the prism ship and the AOE ships. Not sure about your implementation, but good ideas. A few weeks ago, there was a thread about introducing a number of new EW bubbles for the interdictor. You could make those bubbles require racial skills to use and make them do everything from increasing the cap recharge, to hardening shields, to increasing speed, to decreasing speed... to anything. The general concensus (spelling?) seemed to be though that bubbles couldn't overlap at all. I definately agree to that, make the interdictor that much more versatile.

how about a Destroyer capable of carrying large turrets... not 8 offcourse but 2 for battles vs BC and up.... a fast boat which needs a new class called "Devastators"
All races need their frig 5 level + Destroyer 5 + Engineering 5 + Electronics 5 + race used large turrets 3 as minimum to learn skill and Devastators 3 to fly it....
The Gallente drone ship is nicely thought of but will give much problems... also as someone said before is way too powerfull if a carrier's fighters were taken over... Using Gallente ships myself) As for your Minmatar idea , i think its indeed to easy to get corrupted... repairing wrecks back to ships i mean... The Caldari idea sounds bulletproof LOL ... As for Amarr sounds really fun especially the part you need to use teams for more effect thus better for corps to train with each other instead of fighting solo...

A rogue drone controlling ship would be quite the thing to have in the new regions... free rogue domis to assign to your corp miners
Here's what I suggest for a Minmatar gang destroyer :
++ Minmatar Slingshot ships ++ -Think of an ancient acceleration gate with engines , placed at the heart of an assault fleet and throwing its wingmen at the enemy. -Can fit Projected Micro Warp Field modules and use them on any ship. It will multiply its max speed and inertia as long as it is in range (around 100km)
This would bring bump tactics to a whole new level as a BS set to approach the enemy while being boosted will bump it pretty far away and take its place to wreak havoc at optimal range. It could also be used on enemy nano ships - would send nanophoons flying out of control to the next grid

3 bonus to each ( the class can use a little love) I propose that the skill effecting weapon use be based on racial frigate skill however.
Amarr: Nos/neut range 10% TD strength Laser cap use
Gallente: Warp scrambler range +7.5% TD strength Hybrid dmg
Minmatar: Web range ( +20%) TP bonus Projectile RoF bonus
Caldari ECM range ECM strength Missile RoF bonus
They should have fewer weapon slots than the tier 1 destroyers which should be moved to mids ( the EW part ) or high utility slots ( nos neut for the amarr version mainly ).
Atleast the minnie one would cut down on all wahwahnanothisandthat whines.
