Hello there, I'm experiencing a bug regarding the Damage Control module, which all of a sudden reacts as a passive one. Cannot activate and hides when selecting "Hide passive mods" in the UI options. Has anyone else experienced this? I also tried to file a bug report about it, but due to an unknown error it doesn't accept it and prompts me to try again but to no avail. The forums are my only option. Any idea what's going on? |

That is not a bug, it's actually intended. Read the patch notes for today's patch.
They switched Damage Controls to be passive mode (it does one thing and it saves you a click every time you pass through a gate). They also reduced the damage control stats (hull resistances) but increased every ship's natural hull resistances to compensate, so don't freak out about that. |

Problem exists somewhere between the seat and the keyboard.
There are good ships
And wood ships
And ships that sail the sea
But the best ships are

Ah OK my bad then, its weird because it still shows short-cut keys for activating when you hover the mouse on it, while on other passives it doesn't. Thanks for the info guys. |

Edit - not saying this is the case with the OP, just noting another varient of the tech support joke |

I'd mention that on the patch issue thread. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=472758

So can we lock this thread now before we further laugh at OP at his incompetence? On the side HAHAHA SCRUB DOESN'T READ PATCH NOTES AND BLAMES THE GAME FOR EVERYTHING WRONG!
Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

The bug reports are still going through. According to CCP Darwin it is just a web issue:
CCP Darwin wrote:If you got this message submitting a bug report on the website, the bug report is in fact in our system despite your receiving that message. Our web team is working on getting this resolved.
For issues, the Issues, Workarounds and Localization subforum is a better place than GD
Also, as every one else is saying, reading the patch notes is probably a good idea ;)

I was always partial to ID-10T or PICNIC (Problem in Chair, not in Computer) |

I usually read the patch notes but this time I just went through the main headlines. That was my mistake for rushing it out, thus leading to this lovely thread. It seems speaking in the forums was a mistake as well. I now see the wisdom of the past alliances. |

Forum posting is fine, but you will normally get a warmer response in the correct subforum than General Discussion.

Yep, you are right. The thread you linked before seems the best one for such matters. Cheers for the info. |

While I did know the DC change and module changes were coming, I also know that a whole lot of fit-outs for ships just got really strange and I wonder how long it will take for the pilots to realize it... |

I've been clicking on it for over 7 years after going through a gate.
It is gonna take me a while to break that habit.
