Is there a manner with which one can search for a corp by where is is located?
For instance, can I search for the corporations located closest to me? |

Not sure there is within Eve but you could post here asking for a corp near you.

You can always look at the offices in the stations you frequent.
My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Unlike RL, corps in EVE are not bound to a location; a lot of corps are "wherever their members happen to be roaming." Also, highsec doesn't allow holding space, and for highsec corps there's no point to limiting themselves to a single location.
Null security space is different; you can claim a region and deploy your own stations there, and see the location and your name on the map. Even there, though, locations change periodically. |

As said, look in stations.
Also keep in mind corps may relocate, i know in a previous corp of mine I relocated 8 times (both in highsec as in null).
And why do you want them close, a good corp is worth relocating for.

It's more work, but by searching for Player Owned Starbases you can find corps with a little bit more of an anchor down in an area.
I use this when hunting people to wardec.
I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

as has been pointed out. Finding a good match for you is probably more time consuming than moving.
Getting around in this game is not all that difficult.
Also you can just look at who is operating locally and doing what you want to do and contact them regardless of if they are currently in active recruiting mode or not. So talk in local and right-click then show info on players and look at their corps and their alliances description tab.
You can find info about the corp and often if they have a public chat channel and things like that.
CCP has put a lot of effort into developing tools for players and also lots of third party stuff out there. If the search criteria that you seek is not out there it is likely because there is little demand for it. To me that would make me wonder if what I am trying to do is a good idea. Or at least think about doing things a little different.
I know that I did not directly answer your question but I hope this helps. |

I recomend you look for a corp that suits you and not the area of space they operate in.
You move only one time. but you fly with your corpmates on a daily basis |

You can search the ingame corp recruitment adverts by filtering HS, LS. NS or WH. Besides that it might take some manual work. Check station offices or ask people in local. Also some corps will anchor advertisement cans around their space so keep an eye out for those.
The CSM XI Election are now open until March 25th, 2016. Consider Niko Lorenzio for CSM XI.

Our corporate HQ is Jita, but we have no office there, and never have.
You can't rely upon the HQ location as an indication of where the corp is. |

That's why I mentioned offices. But as others have said. Moving to the corp isn't that big of a deal. If nothing else, you can make a contract and have someone else move your stuff.
If any corp offers to move your stuff for you, say "Sure, I'll make a contract." Use an appropriate collateral. If they ***** about it, leave corp immediately.

I would like to point out that there is no need to you to take all of your stuff with you every where you go.
You can just go somewhere else in the ship that you are in and re-establish yourself there. I have stuff all over new eden. I have piles of crap at old mission hubs that I used to spend time at and old manufacturing hubs of mine etc...
I am also agreeing with others here on the fact that my main's corp's main office is at a high sec trade hub and we all live in null sec full time. So corp HQ location means nothing. |

One other way would be, to check the area on zkill. See who keeps showing up in the area you are interested in. But once you find a group of people in a corp that you will like, you will move with them. I hate moving, because i dont like a asset tab that i have to scroll down like my in game history.
Wait... I was supposed to bring sexy back?!?!
