I dont know about anyone else but i think the issue with inertia stabs is not just on battleships but cruisers and other class ships, interceptors i can understand, they are meant to go fast, but ships like the curse are a bit stupid imo, a curse with nos, dampners and inertias that orbits you at 3.5km a second, your a sitting duck waiting to die, yes you can shoot the drones but if it fits a heavy missile launcher thatÆs probably enough to take you down, because you cant rep or put on your hardners. Its basically an ôI winö button. I realise this is a gang based game but there is always the solo element there or else they wouldnt need to make things really balanced.
I dont know if anyone else agrees with me but because of this i think there needs to be a nerf.

Edited by: Franconis on 12/02/2007 12:03:42 The curse is a good ship when properly setup. So is the typhoon, vagabond, ishtar, myrmidon, lachesis, pilgrim, megathron, hyperion, tempest, and well, most of the other ships in the game that cost over 50m isk.
So what if it's good? Fly something better.
Edit: I got jumped by Tisanta and her buddy both flying pilgrims. After quite some time, I lost a domi, and she lost a pilgrim. I'm not trying to brag, but it shows that even great setups die every now and then.

Every ship is good. It's about how good, at what cost, risc and how all this compares to other ships.
And (I know you will all be spamming 2b nanophoon, but you know better) frankly nano-setups barely die (and I know they die, but it's all about comparing them to other ships), can cost very little (or very much, just like a Myrmidon can cost alot, or any other ship, and still lose to a cheaper nano-setup), and are simply able to kill most of their 'peers'. (read, ships of the same training time that cost the same, more, or less, and are not nano-setup.)

during stringent testing we found it nigh on impossible to web a phoon - by the time its speed has dropped enough for a web to really take effect its mass ahs carried it out of range of the web again.
there is something beautiful about a nanophoon and 2 interceptors gang-banging 30 guys out in 00... and walking away without a scratch.
oh and btw the phoon goes 9kms without snakes
and the ceptors were going 12

I've recently sold two named (Local Hull Conversion I think) Inertia Stabilizers for nearly 9 mil ISK a piece. Not sure what the price was before the nano-BS fad but I aint complaining...especially as they were dropped from rats

no i havent been owned by one before, and i was just using the curse as an example, i just think its pretty pants how you could spend a bomb on a ship and it get killed by a ship that spends not half as much isk so it can go uber fast so nothing can hit it.

I agree that Inertia combo's with nano's give too greater bonus. Its like they completely ignore the stacking penalty, or at you'd think they do with the results you get from their combination. Dual MWD's were removed for a reason, I think they had the exact same result as these nanos, except you can now get into warp even faster with this method.
It got nerfed before, it'll get nerfed again... just a matter of how long.
