With my recent employment history as having been in null sec (back when I didnt know my hand from my ass in this game) and wanting to try it, null sec that is, I recently got accepted to Ayup Shagga. While I am sure they are a good corp and I was excited to be in null sec I feel more at home in high sec, where I can jump to jita to sell **** if need be.
I feel I made a mistake joining, My question is: How do I just leave? I know how to leave a corp but do you? After like not even an hour of being in the corp? After realizing you made a mistake.
I don't have the skills to fight off the types of rats down here or the Neutrals as they are called. I feel like I would be more useless then not.
I need advice. I am new to the game. I like indy based corps but I feel I just made a mistake with this one. When it comes to applying for new corps what do you say? "Oh I made a mistake thats why I was there for an hour" like imagine going to a new job and quitting after a day and having that on some kind of permanent record.

Well, if you've already made friends with them, then I'd go ahead with it. The fear you feel will go away and if they are already your friends they will support you. You won't be alone, and sov null can actually be pretty safe overall. They will train you with the skills you need, help provide the material support you need, and provide moral support too. null sec corps aren't like HS corps where everyone pretty much does their own thing, you'll be doing lots of group activities.
If you just randomly joined a corp that sounded cool then just leave them. If you've only been a member for an hour or so, I assume you haven't moved your assets and stuff. Apologize and admit you changed your mind. Then just leave. People do look at your history, but one in-and-out corp won't in itself make a difference. It's having a long series of corps that you were in for a short time that might require explanation.
My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Neutrals are players that are neither red nor blue. Essentially unknowns. NPCs are NPCs. Unless the corp that you joined has some strange lingo specific to them, I think you might be getting things confused.
It does not take much to kill belt rats in null sec. I've seen players that are days old doing it in T1 destroyers. I think that if you give it a chance you are fully capable to live out there.
That being said, there is no reason that you can't tell your corp exactly what you just told us and leave on good terms. Especially if you evemail the CEO or recruiter or whoever you talked to to get in when you applied. Just let them know that you feel like it was a mistake to move to null so early.
Also if you like the guys in the corp you could get a jump clone and live in both worlds. Jump to high sec when you want to and jump to null sec when you want to.
There is plenty of isk to be made in low sec just on bounties and such without having to deal with looting. If you can let go of OCD loot whoring you might actually enjoy it there. |

To quit a Corp, right click on yourself in a chat box, should see a quit corp option towards the bottom.
I made a mistake once joining a group that ended up being nothing like advertised. I lasted about 20 hours, not even a whole day. I was so annoyed with the decision to join them, I right click > trashed the free fitted Procurer they gave me and quit to NPC corp.
Do what makes you happy capsuleer.

Well, you can send the CEO a nice EVE-mail explaining before leaving corp. The idea being to not burn bridges.
Maybe just talking with an officer they can address some of your concerns. If not ... well, you know what to do. |

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that null corps and alliances operate on NBSI principles (they shoot neutrals), so the moment you are no longer in the corporation you become a neutral. Personally I would move whatever ships and assets you have back to empire and THEN leave the corp.

I would talk to you you corp-mates or recruiter about how your are feeling. Maybe they can have someone take you under there wing and show you the ropes.
Oh, about the trade hub issue, one of the null-sec corps that I am investigating has a buyback program that let you sell your stuff to them at jita market value(with a fee). Maybe your corp has a similar option. In my my mind it would make sense for an Indy corp to have something like that. |

If you want to leave on good terms, post a corp mail saying "Hey guys, thanks for the invite, I've decided I don't fit in here. Wish you well, fly safe".
If you want to leave on bad terms, do that after stealing everything that isn't nailed down, and post the corp EVEmail in italics (to indicate sarcasm).

You might want to consider whether you're just having a case of buyer's remorse.
Explain to your recruiter that you're feeling lost because null is so different than what you're used to. Ask if there is someone in the corp who can spend some time helping you get acclimated.
If the recruiter never responds or says that's not how the corp works then you'll be justified in leaving. If the corp helps out, and you give it a few days, the corp might grow on you.

I felt exactly the same way when i joined my corp, i think i had just under 2.5mill sp and i was like guys i think i made a mistake i cant do anything out here, but they helped me out so i stuck with it, got myself some injectors cause i wanted a fast track way of getting involved in the group stuff and before you know it i was roaming with them and everything, nicely settled now and have become and much better player given the knowledge and skills i've acquired from moving out here. |

I think many people have been in your shoes. The key is to really do your homework on who you are joining up with.
Asking about new player help, skill training programs, pvp training or even newbie roams will all help introduce you into null life. Yes there is a learning period where you will be training skills more than doing anything else. Do not despair, if you join up with a mining corp a t2 fit procurer does not take long to train, nor does a rapid light missile caracal to help against neuts.
To any newbro I really suggest learning to fly both ships so you can at least earn some isk while you train for ratting ships and be able to defend your corp and your space. |

If you leave right after you join, it wont look good on your corp history, but as long as you dont make a habit or joining and leaving corps every couple days, it should be okay.
Id say just quit. The heart wants what it wants. If your heart isnt in it, then what else is there to do? |
