For those who are unaware, CCP released a special collector's edition of Eve Online in 2013.
This included a bunch of really cool stuff like a Rifter USB hub, The Gold Pod, Soundtrack Symphony and The Mystery Code.
The Mystery Code was one of the most interesting parts of the box set because CCP promised that Mystery Code holders would occasionally receive ingame items on an infrequent basis (several posts from CCP stated every few months, to big releases for Eve).
At the launch of the Mystery Code, CCP gave out a PLEX, a promise for an Eve Valkire Skin, A Cybernetic arm, and a promise for an ORE Rorqual skin (which was fulfilled in Summer 2014).
Some time after that, CCP Pokethulu, who was responsible for Mystery Code items left CCP, and CCP Falcon and the community team took over.
Since that point CCP has given out six items of clothing in February 2015.
Earlier this year a thread was posted asking about the status of The Mystery Code, CCP Falcon responded with the following:
CCP Falcon wrote:Hey guys,
We haven't forgotten about the Mystery Code, and have been discussing some stuff for before Fanfest.
As I said when the last bunch of stuff went out, the mystery code is not going to be an ISK faucet for players who have it, and is not going to be updated with stuff super regularly. It's not a code that gives entitlement to free stuff every x number of months.
It's designed for large scale promotions when there's something big going on and we want to provide additional benefits to those who have a mystery code.
CCP Falcon states that the code is for "something big going on" and really big events have happened in New Eden since the launch of the code such as the SKIN Release, the Drifter Incursion, The Assassination of Jamyl Sarum, Project Discovery, and the events leading up to the upcoming Citadel release.
I am not seeking a faucet of ISK like CCP Falcon implied in his post, I just want to get something out of this code. Even like a New Eden Store discount or a ship skin commemorating or relevant to ingame events would be super cool.

Just forget about it like about any other previous CCP ideas that-didn't-worked-out (tesselation, mobile client, combat-in-stations etc). The ambitious idea about code that outlives collector's edition promotion was good but obviously no one cares about it anymore (CE is not popular as it was probably, so no reason to promote it anymore).
Honestly, I'm more upset about "wasted" DUST code (DUST is closing without PC alternative in sight). |

I sorta just wrote the post and put it out there, but the stuff they have given out so far is not really connected to big events in Eve. I put up a similar thread on the Eve Subreddit and there have been some interesting ideas as to what CCP could give out that would be cool and non impactful to the game, something like the cool trinkets we get every year around christmas. |

A citadel. I demand a Citadel.
It's not about an ISK faucet. It's an asset faucet and I'm entitled to it.....Just because.
Nothing else in the box matters, only the mystery code. Give me, give me, give me. |
