The real question is, can you plug a vampire into a pod?

Originally by: Ridley Tree Could be an interesting deal. I'd be very interested if D&D rules were adapted to fit into an EVE setting. Or perhaps using another rulebook with more space based rules.
GURPS is the obvious answer.
Originally by: Kredan Rasok I played Hunter:The Reckoning and compared to D&D well i have to say the WW system is the pits. After 4 months my character stalled. What i mean was that i had learned/trained everything he needed and had nothing else to do. I've always found the D&D system to be better especially since 3rd Edition as you can really specialise characters or make them Jack of all Trades much as you can in EVE.
This is your GM's fault, not the game's. White wolf's system is actualy better in some ways. It's more freeform, especialy when it comes to magic in mage: the ascension. The other benefit is that all the whitewolf games work with each other. My vampire once made a guest apearance in a werewolf: the apocalypse game.

The quality of an RPG lies in the fluff and how the DM makes use of it, not the rules. Well, for me anyway.

I think the current POS war system should be converted to a pen and paper system, it's already one step away from it anyway. Turn off sound, turret effects, all other effects and you still lag to hell and back, might as well just scrap the whole interface altogether and go to a text based email game...

Jarem you are an evil, evil man. It looks like I'd be one of the prospective rented mules.... ahem
GM's I mean.
I have a few ideas kicking around for a homebrew D&D D20, I for one will not be larning a new system for this. I'm interested in getting this going, though.
If however we go with multiple GM's it may be an idea to have a couple of "competing" groups. It can make for a pretty cool campaign if people are more interested in up upping each other vs. killing each other.

I'm really looking forward to the White Wolf PNP RPG for Eve. I was thinking about trying to create a GURPS campaign before the announcement about that. I hope the game contains some level of technical detail, maybe a bit more than a d20 system but probably not to the level of something like Phoenix Command.
But to get back to your topic, I would be interested in hearing more about your RPG ideas, Jarem. ================<ACTME>======================= Solutions to problems require Active Measures. |
