Greetings EVE pilots, corporations, and alliances of all kinds. We have successfully completed the construction of the Erebus Titian after many, MANY, long months of blood and sweat to bring you the wet dreams of all EVE pilots within EVE. I hope you are all excited as we are to finally see the end results of our very hard work and dedication and I want to thank everyone that worked very hard to build the Erebus and keeping the secret of what we were doing.
You might not have heard of us and you probably never will to keep our baby safe within the EVE world. The only person that will ever know of us will be the one who will purchase it. Yes, thatÆs right we are going to be the first to put a Titian on the market to sell!!! We are not an alliance or a corporation, although we are a corporation but the only goal of this corporation was the construction of the Erebus and the sale of it. For us to be the first to bring a Titian to the market to sell seemed like a great business plan and still does.
Now for the final completion of our Titian we are looking for someone to purchase it because at the end of all of this we are all looking for a profit, not war, or glory, just isk.
We are going to hold a private viewing of the Titian starting on Sunday (THIS SUNDAY) for anyone that is interested in buying! CEOÆs of corporations and top alliances officials will only be permitted to view it no others!
And yes for all you pilots out there I am posting with an alt to keep our corporation and our identity secret. We do not want to take the slightest chance of losing this ship at all!
Send in game mails to this alt if you are serious about buying the Erebus! We will contact you back and setup a time on Sunday (this Sunday) when you have a few hours to come out and see the Titian with your own eyes before making your purchase and fill you in on all the details you need!
Each prospective buyer will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and I hope you do the same for us.
We have all shed a tear, everyone that has worked on this Titian, for we knew, the labor of our love, would come down to this day.
Again thank you everyone one that has helped our dreams come true! Now let the buying begin!!!
Sincerely,
The Cult of Anonymous Titian Builders

You don't need to hold a private viewing to sell something. That will also negate your anonymity duh
Auction it, post some pics while at it and hope the buyers will trust you.
(and plz fix the spelling on the Titan.. it looks silly)

Ti+tian ûnoun 1. (Tiziano Vecellio) c1477û1576, Italian painter. 2. (lowercase) a reddish-brown or golden-brown color: hair of titian. ûadjective 3. (lowercase) having titian color: titian hair.
Congratulations, you've built an Italian painter!
In all seriousness, nice work. You might want someone with a little better English and salesmanship as your spokesperson, though.

Edit: for those interested in Erebus references, check out this Wikipedia page. Note that the EVE titan is included.

I'm not quite following..how do you profit from this (assuming it is scam)? Charge people trying to come to view it? Blast them? Tell some sob story to interested candinates?
If it is real, and you intend to show the actual titan (instead of links or whatnot) to group of people, why not: - At least release the titan pilot name, or owner of the POS (since in such viewing people will anyway get to see either of those, and it won't stay secret). - Post screenshots (with important details removed, but enough details to show it's not from Sisi nor it's one of the known titans)
I really can't believe an entity would go through such trouble to build a titan, and then try to sell it with so scammy looking way.

Well, well, we are brave... you know it will take just one person at the viewing to contact a fleet to come and wreak that pretty new ship don't you.
Create an auction dude. No way is it a good idea to let ppl even get close to it.
Congrates on managing to manufature it though... I figure it's a proud day for all concerned.
I'll wait for the plasma to stop flying before I come and see it. Cloaking devices FTW.

The Titan pilot is not in our corp (for good reasons so when we show it wink;) and we will not bring anyone to the place that we store the Titan. We have to much at that POS to risk. Nothing more, I will talk to anyone that is interested in game and fill in on the details. And if we have a Titan dont think we do not have access to other capital ships to defend the titan and our other assets.

Edited by: Red Crown on 16/02/2007 16:52:29 I seriously doubt this "Titian" exists.
The real question is, what is to be gained by lying about it?
1. Face time on the forums 2. Lure unsuspecting folks into getting shot? 3. ???
A titan is such a massive undertaking. Any entity capable of producing one would have extreme difficulty in coming up with the funds, and remaining a totally unknown entity.
Edit: I would recommend you insert screenshots for credibility.

It is not just one person but many that have helped and we have put are time and isk together to get a bigger return and we know it is a big gamble but this is what we like to do.

Interested.
How will the transfer take place? Will you use a trustworthy 3rd part broker?

Edited by: Koston Ilias on 16/02/2007 18:41:05 You would be simply stupid to build a titan and not use it for alliance use. The profit margin is just far too low. You could make more money manufacturing badgers. I smell freeform all over this. Someone please check into this.

It's definately not a freeform. Since you can't dock a Titan you also can't put one on contract or do a station trade. You'll have to hand over the isk then hope that the person doesn't just jump out leaving you looking like a fool. Also remember that even if he jumps out of the ship at a POS, you won't be able to jump into it while it's inside the shield.
The only way to make this deal would be for both parties to petition a GM to get involved in the swap.
Good luck to anyone that falls for this scam.
Oh yea, I have an Erebus that will be out of production later today if someone wants to buy it for 50% of it's market value. Send the isk and I'll send you a bookmark to it's location.

^ Yeah, I know you cannot dock a titan, but a freeform has no indentification of the item's location since there is no item. Doesn't matter how he does it, it's a scam. Nothing to see here, everybody clear out.
