The butthurt is strong in this one! Pretending to be a female in an online game, guess you know a lot about butt hurt! Holy **** now you even proved him right. *facepalm*Is that really what you call a proper comeback? Are you really that useless? Isn't there ANYONE who is actually a skilled smack-talker? Do we really have to deal with all these low class, low education, low ability manchilds?? I must confess smack talking is not something I excel at. The quick juvenile assumption that someone is butt hurt because they dislike cowards who gank unarmed ships is irksome. Especially when I have never been ganked by one of those low iq tag along wannabe warriors. The fact that people actually pretend they have demonstrated some level of skill is perplexing. EVE has an abundance of great pilots who fearlessly traverse all levels of it's security, these high sec back shooters don't deserve to be mentioned in the company of the intrepid pirates who engage in real PVP. The butthurt is shown from the language you use, not what the subject is about.
Your language shows all the signs of being butthurt.

Well that one was much better than the last one.
And it's not like he's wrong. The way the modern ganker plays nowadays is embarrassing and borderline carebearish.

Time these alts started facing a little risk & consequences for the reward of enabling a gank.
It is not the fault of the gankers that you are a risk seeker.

Seems like you know what data their servers collect, please share how you acquired such knowledge or admit it's your opinion/ guess and not an actual fact. My guess is the server that can uncloak my ship when it gets to within 2000 meters of a frozen dead body could be programmed to determine whom accelerated towards a stationary or orbiting ship to case a collision. Considering the calculations that it takes daily right now to determine damage effectiveness of ordnance based on angle, distance, and speed I suspect the servers might be up to the task.
The undock at Jita is one of the worst immersion breaks in the game, ships passing thru each other, a total mess. I wish CCP would do something about that, an orderly departure even if it meant delay would be far better. When Jita is over crowded access to enter the entire system is slowed at gates and login, undocking should be handled the same.
Sadly a ball of twisting writhing ships is a hallmark of CCP large battles so I don't see them changing that mechanic anytime soon.

If it could be done, which is doubtful, and more importantly if CCP wanted to do so it would have been implemented long ago; bumping has been a contentious subject for years and my best guess is that the forthcoming solution that allows ships to eventually warp regardless of being bumped is the best that they can do given the lack of documentation on old code.
Quote:Considering the calculations that it takes daily right now to determine damage effectiveness of ordnance based on angle, distance, and speed I suspect the servers might be up to the task. That's fairly simple trigonometry, who'dathunk that computers were good at fairly simple maths; anyone that's halfway decent at hitting a moving target with a gun or bow can do it in their heads.

So CCP should limit the functionality of the major trade hub in the game to be aesthetically pleasing? Get real.

One of the things I found out right away was about 1/2 the players in space were not engaged in the game. There would be an ice belt with 30 people in it, but no one was really there. Their ships just mining away while they did stuff in real life. I almost fell into the same trap but then I met the pirates, as I later found out where called gankers in this game, mercs and griefers. At first I was like these guys are jerks to put it nicely. The more I watched them blow up people the more I realized they are forcing people to stay engaged in the game. At the same time I watched CCP make changes to hamper the high sec content creators and cater people to people that are not actively engaged while undocked. How does that help a healthy community?
so my question is why does it seem like CCP wants to stop or make close to impossible all non PVE highsec content when players have tons of in game tools avoid dying like d-scan, local chat, kills in system on map, etc...?

Well just a minor point but it seems to me that fact that the miners are all sort of semi-afk is very realistic. I know if I was aboard a mining barge armed to the teeth I'd be watching movies while monitoring vitals. I kind of like that about Eve. If you want to be social join a huge nullbloc alliance with 24/7 crowds on comms, seriously not dissing you just sounds like you're kindof lonely. |

hehe good joke, really
one advice to OP - if he is clearly as new as he claims - burst dpsing down a ship that has barely any tools apart from certainity that the guys who are killing him will loose their ships as well IS NOT a content
bumping a freighter to deny it enter a warp in which case he does not even have THAT quarantee is also NOT a content
and hence - however you will put it up - the guys who engage it just for the sake of griefing and or big isk killmail are NOT content CREATORS because what they "create" - even assuming thats the proper word here IS NOT a CONTENT.
even on first few pages of this thread you could see quite a few of examples of actuall high-sec content creators.
and no actuall content creators in high sec are in no way "castrated" from the ability of creating the content This game is a sandbox. Everything is "content".

The best way to keep a thread from dying, no matter how ridiculous it becomes, is to put the word "castrate" in the subject line.

Game content is the art, music, environment, npc's, vehicles, and everything else the DEVELOPERS put into the game for players to play with. This is where the term newbie, mid level and end game content came from.
CCP can attempt to redefine the word content as it applies to games so they can spin the Player Create Content sales pitch all they like but it doesn't change the definition of the term.
When CCP introduces something that players can use to create unique player made content they can legitimately claim their players create content. Until then their players simply use the scarce content they put in to create interactions between players, whether its a gank, a gatecamp or a war, it still is not content, its simply activity based on the content CCP provided.
The closest thing to player made content based on EVE are things like EFT, killboards, online casino's but they're not in game so they're NOT actual player made content that one can enjoy in the game, you enjoy them out of the game.
