What do i need ?
You first need to acquire at least 3 people with rolling fit hic's
You'll need patience. This is not a fast method for two reasons:
Firstly you need to wait out polarity between jumps through the wormhole.
Secondly frigate holes are the only holes that have a mass regeneration on them. The biggest problem with this is it's impossible to know when the regen cycle starts and you could find that after half an hour of rolling it has regenerated. From regen to regen you have an hour to close the hole.
Also allow yourself enough margin of error, i would say for most people you'll get every 1 in 4 jumps wrong even after a lot of practice.
Don't worry you dont have to be this perfect
So Lets talk a little bit more about what you just saw. In the video i was using a devoter but this is able to be done with any hictor. If speed is something youGÇÖre looking for i would recommend the broadsword and going with a fit something like this.
[Broadsword, Speed Rolls]
Nanofiber Internal Structure II Overdrive Injector System II Overdrive Injector System II Power Diagnostic System II
500MN Y-T8 Compact Microwarpdrive Large F-S9 Regolith Compact Shield Extender Kinetic Deflection Amplifier II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II
Pitfall Compact Warp Disruption Field Generator Pitfall Compact Warp Disruption Field Generator Pitfall Compact Warp Disruption Field Generator Pitfall Compact Warp Disruption Field Generator Improved Cloaking Device II [Empty High slot]
Medium Higgs Anchor I Medium Ancillary Current Router II
The aim of using this fit is to roll them pesky frigate wormholes that just show up unannounced, once you have acquired a number of people with their own ships, that is key.
At zero on the wormhole you cycle ALL your bubbles at the same time. As you can see in the video i have them set to F1-F4 and almost immediately de-cycle them. You can set them to not auto repeat, for this video i did not have that set.
As the bubbles approach the end of their cycle with 1-2 seconds left on the effect jump the hole, at this point you need to cycle your prop mod.
Congratulations you just succeeded...probably.
How does this work?
Simple, jumping a wormhole has a two part mass sequence when it first reads your current mass and then jumps you through the hole if you are below the max jumpable mass.
Your jump and prop timing is the key to this working. After you jump the wormhole with your bubbles it registers that you are have the appropriate mass and allows you to jump.
At this point your prop mod comes in. With accurate timing your prop and bubbles shouldn't overlap and the mass that you jump with for the second cycle will be the 100Mill + mass of the oversized prop and higgs anchor.
Does this work every time?
The simple answer is yes if done correctly then it will allows apply 100Mill + mass to the wh both ways, however there is a fine line between it working and not working. You have a jump window of approximately 0.6-1.2 seconds.

this is not bug , just clever of use exsisting game mechanics but lets speak CCP about this howewer if CCP wishes to change this then they would also forbit to cycling prop mods i higher-class wormholes its pretty tricky situation and we dont know what might approach next. but this is not bug since you do this in other wormhole types , rolling frigate sized wormholes is just waste of time |

Sent a report up asking feedback. I'm not disagreeing with you on its validity ... Ok a little bit.... If so this should be applicable to c1 wormholes and rolling them In a hic turned battleship.

Currently the largest mass ship that can fit into a c1 is a retriever, battlecruiser, not battleships except the Nestor. Rolling that sucks amazing amounts of balls. Being able to throw battleship masses through a c1 would make rolling them a good deal easier.

Confirming I have tried this. And the effort just isn't worth it. Leave them frig holes to die naturally as intended. I had one regen from crit to disrupted one time and at that for me was enough to put me off.
I actually submitted a bug report when I found out but never heard anything back and IIRC after 2-3 weeks I got an email saying it was closed and If I felt that It wasn't resolved I should reopen it but I just left it alone

I agree it could be a potential bug however till then I believe this falls under unintended game mechanic it uses the current way the game checks if there is enough mass on the hole to see if you will fit or not
I'm sure you all remember being in a pvp fight a while back before they changed to this method where you could jump through but be spat back through if you didn't fit, where as now when you click jump you know immediately if you made it or not.
Exploit or not is the question here till we know I think this comes under the same bar as the rolling yachts.
A game mechanic that we have managed to find a way to use for our benefit without breaking any game rules imo. |

Apart from that video. I don't think we have ever rolled a frig hole since. The only benefit I can see is back in the old escalations where you would just shut the world off and krab for a few hours. Now that's gone and the new method isn't as appealing the feign holes are just being left alone or at least used.

i admit since the patch and the removal of the escalations the applications of this could be seen as limited and not worth the effort and this may be true however the use of the mechanic is up to those using it at the time for example:
find a nice c13 wh wolf rayet but it only have frigate wh's and you want to safely run sites? get a nice group of people and roll connections. The limits and application of this is down to those using it, if nothing else this will allow rolling c1's to become bare-able.
However this is the same mechanic that allows you to jump a 312,000,000 Kg battleship through a C5/ c3 with a max jumpable of 300mill rolling it with 2 trips
312M over and back then 1 light jump of 210M and come back with the propmod on closes a 1billion wormhole easy.? does this too then come under a potential bug.

Or retaining hole control in respects of attacking/defense. So many times I've heard a day read that a battle was swayed because of a frig hole. If this isn't a bug/exploit it can be used to remove frig holes and prevent people flying in using captors etc allowing attackers/defenders an advantage

Who rolls frigate holes anyway???
Just bubble them and put a scout there to listen for gate fire. If they bring something in - kill it or chase it away. Rinse and repeat.

No one, but no one really knows about this - which is why we put it out there but it has been confirmed not an exploit but an unintentional feature. To which, i dont think they are rushing to fix.
As I stated earlier in the thread. The only reason I have rolled a frig wormhole was to run escalations. Now that escalations are different and the amount of effort it takes to roll the frig it. Its not worth it. We either use em' or ignore em

unintended feature is bug right? and abusing bug is bannale offence right? if its not exploit and not bug either so what is this, maybe just solution for people that live in c5 holes that dont like frig holes or some null people dont want get bombers bar in system so they either roll or put few large bubbles to disattract potential visitors? |
