Sorry I was away for a few days for a short-notice trip to visit some family. Thanks for offering to hold the shares. You handled that well. I was just away from a computer too long to get back to you timely.
I'm happy to announce that I have purchased all 251 remaining shares! I think this venture has a lot of long-term profit potential.
I may be interested in applying to the board of directors, but I have to figure out how to deal with the corporate membership requirement. All three of my characters are used in my manufacturing business, which requires me to have them in the same corporation. It's possible that I could setup a second account and put an alt into JAQ using that.
Regardless, I can hopefully offer some assistance and advice to help you with marketing. I have professional experience in digital marketing, SEO, web development / writing, and a small amount of video production.
Congrats on completing the IPO!

So the fundraising round is now complete, and now there's time for the real fun to begin.
First, let's take a quick look at the ownership spread. If you want to know who all the shareholders are, I invite you to use your tool of choice and look it up using the API key listed in our buylaws. You can find that at http://corporate.jaquepot.com/bylaws
You are free to do whatever you want with your ownership of this corporation. I will maintain an active stock market for our stock using the Jaque Pot character account. To place a sell order, transfer shares to Jaque Pot, along with a mail of what your ask price is and whether or not you are willing to accept partial purchases. To place a buy order, send your ISK to Jaque Pot, along with how many shares you would like to recieve for that price.
From now going forward, all shares or funds held by Jaque Pot are not her property, but those of the sender until the order is complete. When she recieves a dividend payment, she will manually split such payment peroperly across the true owner of the shares she is holding.
The current buy and sell orders will be listed on http://corporate.jaquepot.com/stockmarket
A poll will be taken soon to get the timezones of our shareholders in an attempt to organize a Voice or Video meeting to discuss the bylaws.
Shareholders are perfectly allowed to play the lotto, and are encouraged to do so!!! More ticket sales means a larger Jackpot Payout Pool, which means more interested players. So long as you don't have a hand in the administration of the lotto or selection of the winning numbers, there is no conflict of interest. Just to keep momentum in the fund, I WILL be playing at least one ticket in every drawing (so long as I can afford it :P)... Since I AM involved in the drawing, however, I will be donating any winnings I earn directly to the Jack Pot Payout Pool.
There are currently 12 shareholders, each with the amounts listed below. 1,400 <-- Trogdor Montague 224 100 50 334 200 112 25 251 30 50 224
In the sale of 1500 shares, we raised 13.609 BN isk, making the average price per share purchased 9.07 Mil. We are currently holding 6 Mil we recieved from ticket sales, and 118,706 from other sources (corp tax on my earnings). We also own 5 shares of EVE Museum, which were valued at 165 Mil at the time of purchase and do pay regular dividends.
The total value of "Hard Assets" comes to 13,780,118,706, or 4,593,372.902 per share.
For the purpose of calculaing a recomended stock share price going forward, I will wok with an intellectual property valuation of 5,406,627.098 per share, which at this time points to a share price of 10 Mil. If you are looking to escape the venture, I will offer a share buyback at the rate you origionally paid after one week of unsuccessfully attempting to sell publicly
That's all I have time for right now, but so happy this worked as well as it did. Thank you all for your trust and confidence. My sales and marketing efforts towards tickets sales will tripple next week. |

I'm going to go ahead and start another bylaws modification poll... I'm not sure it's nessisary for board members to be part of the corp if their role doesn't involve financial management. I have several interested parties that I think are perfectly capable, however they've got their own thing going.
The major responsibility of board members is to represent the shareholders when coming up with voting options... I do not believe corp membership is a necessity.
Here's the formal proposal... You have 7 days to vote. As with all votes, my shares will be voting for "the reccomendation of the board of directors", which is informed by the other votes entered.
Shall we change the bylaw sections 4.1, 6.2, and 7.2 to remove the requirement of board members or prospective board members to be members of the corporation?
1. Yes, Modify the verbage appropriatly 2. No, do not make this change 3. Vote for the reccomendation of the board of directors |

The bar seems to be geting low.
From the next 50 people to send me 1 billion isk, I will pick one and send them 5 billion isk back, once the allotment is filled.
Seems pretty decent chance to 5x your ISK. |

I tried... REALLY hard to come up with a witty response to your semi-disrespectful and halfhearted attempt at humorously mocking the work I have done... And I couldn't find anything to say that would be simple enough for you to understand... Not even this...
Tickets are on sale now, buy them before 20:00 on 2012-06-02. If you're lucky you'll hit it big and can buy enough shares in Jaque Pot to get us to take something you say seriously. Best of luck! |

Sorry everyone, I've been out of town on business with -*GASP*- NO INTERNET ACCESS!
I'll sort out all the stock orders and get everything reconciled ASAP...
I also have announced our next drawing on this thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6527549#post6527549
Our first drawing did beat the odds and we were not profitable, so there were no dividends to pay for June. Let's see how many players we can get interested for this drawing! |

A new vote has been proposed...
It has been suggested that we not just guarantee, but fund the minimum jackpot amount so that potential customers can see the progressive aspect of the lotto in play. Hopefully, this will stimulate ticket sales, as I am ready to go full-boar with weekly live drawings. This WILL, however affect the profitability and value of the company once the jackpot is won, as all of the math leading up to this point in simulations and odds calculations have assumed that we would only pay from the emergency funds IF the jackpot was short.
You have 7 days to place your vote. To keep you best informed, the current wallet balances are listed below.
Master Wallet: 0.01 Prize Pool: 9,100,000.00 Jackpot Pool: 19,000,000.00 Assumed Margin: 2,471,866.26 Tickets Purchased: 0.00 WInnings To Pay: 0.00 Emergency Fund: 13,605,153,966.26
Total Value of all Hard Assets: 13,635,725,832.53 Hard Assets per share: 4,545,241.94 Estimated Value Per Share: 9,951,869.04 (Using assumed IP value of 5,406,627.098)
We do have 251 shares for sale at the rate of 10mil if anyone is interested. We had a potential buyer who never stepped up.

I don't understand this vote. I understand that money will be moved to another wallet, but can you explain what will become "more transparent" about the "progressive aspect"? Those words mean nothing to me :)

I am also not sure of the relevance of needing a vote to move money from one wallet to another. I am also not sure why this is on the forums and not in an ingame email.

Morgan is right, I will use in-game mail going forward.
Under the current rules, the Jackpot only has 19 mil, so if somebody wins the jackpot, they win 1.5 bn, 1.481 bn of which would come from the emergency funds wallet.
This one time transfer would put our jackpot at 1.519 bn, and it would increase by 0.5 mil with every ticket sold.
Without this action, potential players will be told this is a progressive lottery, but it won't actually have a progressive jackpot until we have sold 3,000 tickets.
The reason I am taking this to a vote is because we are essentially GIVING the jackpot the first 1.5 bn, so now every ticket sold raises the amount that can be won in the jackpot. We are taking this money out of a safety net, and putting it out there to be given away. I'm not willing to give away 10% of our cushion without a vote from the people that built it. |

Btw the general reason that votes are announced on forums, is that it allows the public to criticise them, thus helping the shareholders in their decision.
