It is indeed a very annoying bug.
Please have a look at it or at least let us know if the issue is on your "to do" list.
I am sure, many tickets and bug reports have been filed.

Whilst doing PI in my wormhole I noticed the same problem. I loose my sensor overlay functionality after closing the planet interface. The overlay resets as soon as I jump thru a wormhole. So far this is the only in game action I have found that makes the sensor overlay return to normal operation.

^^^ If you have the Citadel in your WH, you could dock and undock it will reset your Sensor Overlay issue. At least mine does.
If you only have POS then you are SOL then you would need to jump through.

This started to happen to me today. When I log on, the Sensor Overlay works but after some while it stops working. I can see markings on the capacitor circle but I cannot see it in space and I can't warp to anything. Basically, I can't see anything. I've tried to turn it off, does not help. I've tried docking, undocking.. Everything. Nothing helps.
I have to relog to get it working again, this is really troublesome when mining and you need to warp back into the cluster but you can't cause it won't show up. |

I've been suggested this before and it doesn't help. Entering PI mode, using the old map, disabling/enabling UI etc.. None of it works. I was just mining in an Ice Belt, and I went back to POS. I wanted to continue mining but I can't.. The overlay doesn't work, I can't find the Ice Belt without it. This is ridiculous and I must pray to God that it doesn't break during fleets. |

This problem has been around for 3 weeks and still isn't fixed unbelievable. Both accounts, if I bring up the map from scanning window or bring up planet view for PI, my sensor overlay disappears.
FIX IT ALREADY |

I am sure there are more people who have these similar issues just never got around to post it.
For those that are here. What do we have in common?
I have multiple accounts, I can reproduces these issues on all of my accounts and characters.
Normally I have 2 computers I have use it to play EVE. One is a homebrew desktop and high end hardware specs and the other is a Toshiba laptop. Both have the same Sensor Overlay problem that can be reproduced the same way by opening PI interface and/or Ship Tree.
I even installed EVE fresh on a 3rd computer that have never been used it for EVE. Same problem.
For me the only thing these 3 computers have in common is Windows 10. Not a single piece of hardware is identical. I have tried Fixed Windows, Full screen and Windows mode GÇô no joy.
Yes, this sucks!
CCP how about throwing us some bone here. Even a smallest piece of bone. |

Related ??
Tactical overview active, traverse wormhole. Once on the other side, you're unable to control tactical overview zoom. Only option is to switch to "normal" view. But then everything is no longer visible as reported here. For me, exiting and reloading the clients resolved till the next time. |

The bug is now partially fixed. I can see bookmarks, signatures and anomalies in space after opening the map. Only signatures on grid don't appear (wormholes for example).
It's only the signature itself, the rest is fine. |

Reading this post, I believe 2 bugs have been identified. 1) Sensor overlay not showing up properly 2) Signatures resetting when closing solar system map
To me, it seems that those 2 bugs have appeared at the same time.
It seems now that the sensor overlay bug is fixed as of today's patch. I can now see my bookmarks and signatures again.
But the signature reset bug havent been fixed yet.
Description: Whenever I close the solar system map, all signatures reset. (like it would do when a new signature spawns or when it despawns) So this bug will reset all "half scanned" signature results. This is a big pain in the [...] when scanning, because it means that you cannot close your solar system map if you want to keep your scan informations.
- If a signature is 100% scanned down, then the information will be kept even if you close the solar system map. - If a signature is between 1% and 99% scanned and you close the Solar System Map, the signature will effectively be reset to 0%. (though it would not actually write 0% in the probe menu) Then you have to scan the partially scanned signature all over again, from the start.
Can anyone confirm this so that CCP keep fixing this problem. |
