Yes, Julianus spends almost as much time on petitions as you spend breathlessly criticizing his every word on this forum. Do you keep a library of bookmarks specifically to trashtalk Soter? Borderline obsessive is what I call the above post.
Honestly, the constant personal invective reminds me of a certain someone who's constantly on your back bringing up ancient history. You really should give it a rest.
Ms. Vero, consider it fact-checking. It's actually quite easy to do with a little bit of digging and a little bit of memory.
And please do realize that if I were anything like Kim, you'd be facing repetitive drivel for years, instead of periodic dumps of historical references to verify or deny narrative-crafting by your dear leader.
That said, I'll desist in this thread.

I remember the facts and the history just fine. Digging up the past to wrap it up within your bias is hardly "fact-checking" nor do I see any pressing need beyond satisfying your apparent conflict of personality with Julianus.
Honestly I would just prefer if you engaged more in good faith. There is plenty of room on this forum for discussion focused on the Federation without excluding the many other topics of discussion. I never see anyone calling CVA or PIE "myopic" for discussing threats to the Empire, nor IRED for supporting the State. |

Well, I suppose I won't desist, seeing as you wanted to get the last word.
I call it fact-checking because you and Soter shower yourselves in accolades that have a much more interesting history than your initial statements indicate. Specifically, you yourself note Moira. fights against the Sansha as indication of your magnamity and broad-mindedness in defense of the Cluster, and imply that divisiveness was overcome despite unnamed others, when in fact that very divisiveness may have been caused by Soter himself, as evidenced by a SYNE spokesperson asking for Soter's liaison to SYNE to step down from the CEO position.
That is material to the discussion, and the veracity of Soter's claims that he strives to defend the Cluster at large by serving the Federation. It's an interesting step, and one that I wanted to address.
All said, you're defending the Federation.
That's fine. That's perfectly fair. Do as you will. None of us would expect any different. You do you, buttercup.
However, please don't conflate the Federation with New Eden, because you are partisan.

Its not so much about the last word as it is settling whatever issue you've got with Soter so we can avoid repeating this same pattern in the future. I'd like to see a more positive and constructive tone in future discussions.
As to the content of your last statement: I said I was present at a fight, I hardly think that constitutes "showering" myself in "accolades." Soter said he'd spoken at conferences and been involved in various previous conflicts that threatened the wider cluster. All of that happens to be true.
You were the one that brought up Soter's history with SYNE. I mentioned some of my recollections from that time. Apparently, your only interest was to bring up the things that you think reflect in a negative manner on him, on the flimsy excuse of "correcting the record." A more unbiased observer might have noted some of the positive contributions made. Perhaps acknowledge that despite ongoing personality conflicts, he continued to devote considerable time and effort to the cause. Even after being asked to remove his representative from SYNE leadership (which, I believe he did).
Here's something I said to another Capsuleer in the topic you linked, in fact one of my earliest posts on this forum. I think the spirit of my remaks is particularly relevant now.
Rinai Vero wrote:All of this is pretty much gas through the ramjet for most of us. You, however, are still throwing out accusations of aid and comfort to the enemy. This is the kind of needless bickering that really needs to come to an end.
Sansha incursions are currently fully saturating multiple constellations. Thousands of capsuleer ships have been lost in battles to fight back. However, despite the difficulty of organizing and mounting counterattacks, I have observed SYNE affiliated and FCORD fleets making headway in the Algintal Campaign. Moira forces operating independently were able to defeat multiple Sansha Vanguard incursions, then joined another SYNE affiliated fleet to defeat a Nation Consolidation Network. As I understand it neither of us had managed to successfully assault one of these facilities independently.
Like I said, it isn't that I think you should "desist," but rather that I think that we could be more constructive in pursuit of common goals without the kind of bickering we have been demonstrating so far. |

I was present at the destruction of Rilnais, it represented a rublicon for me, it was that day that I left the Angel Cartel.
The Serpentis crossed a line, and they need to be put in check. Whatever form that takes, I'm game.

Ninavask wrote:I hope the criminals that caused this destruction will be brought to justice. I was present during the devastation of Rilnais and I recall the feeling of helplessness and hopelessness as I watched capsuleers fight amongst themselves instead of coming to the aide of the defenseless citizens of Rilnais. Doing little and less to stop the Serpentis and Angel Cartel forces from claiming their objective on the surface, and then destroying what they didn't want.
If the Villore Accords members can find the culprits and bring them to justice, I for one will sleep a little more soundly at night knowing the terrorists were brought to justice. I wish your pilots the best of luck. May you find those who brought such vile acts of destruction on the innocent of Rilnais, and burn them from the cluster.
I am not much of a fighter. Maybe once upon a time I would have jumped at the opportunity to strike down these perpetrators. Now the best I can offer is the assistance of soldiers who experienced Rilnais first hand, and any information I may have in regards to the event.
Good luck, and may these criminals die screaming and in terror, so they might know even the smallest portion of the horror they caused the innocent of Rilnais. I wasn't there when it happened but many of my family members died there and I want to rain glorious Gallente freedom and justice upon the disgusting scum that calls itself Serpentis |
