Looks like this was last updated in the spring of '06.
Can we get a little input on where you guys are at on the ideas and issues brought up in that thread. Perhaps a new thread/blog? In the "in development" it points to the stickied corporate tools thread... kinda discouraging to seeing something a year old..
pretty puhlease? I have Exotic Dancers & Cattle I'm willing to trade for an update.

Like a number of other areas of the game (such as POS), corp management system needs totally throwing away and start again. But only a fraction of players actually use it so lower priority than say NPCs!!! or Walking in Stations !!!!11 that will be very visible improvements

My opinion is that the system should work like this:
* 8 departments, each with its own hanger * 8 spare hangers (so 16 in total)
* there are a series of "Pre-Defined" titles with certain roles attached (for newbie CEO's to make life easier)
* Custom titles can be made just like now, but you can only give a role through making a title and giving someone that title
* All titles (custom or otherwise) are attached to a department (so role "hanger - Based at" would be replaced by Hanger - Department)
* Each Department gets its own wallet tab as well as overall wallet (so CEO/Director can put certain amounts of cash in each departments wallets as a "budget")
* Let corps issue bonds
* Share ownership auditing.
* 2 Tier share system (thinking ltd vs. plc/inc). Corps start ltd with options on who to give shares to on creating the corp, not just 1000 shares dumped in corp wallet as now. Needs vote to sell shares, issue more or go public or change CEO. These votes need > 50% of shareholders to vote to be valid whilst other votes work same as now. Cluster wide market for plc shares.
* Separate "buy on corp behalf" , "sell on corp behalf" and "view/access wallet"
* Hangers can have an option to be turned into equivelant of audited containers
* Remote stack & split
* corp asset search.
* Lockdown for items other than BPO (e.g. Dread)
* Total overhaul of impound system.
* Accounts -> Journal.... afaik doesn't work except for "cash". wtf is "Gold" also?
* let individuals outside corp give money to a corp as well as an individual (atm only way to xfer cash as an individual is right click on someone -> give money or in corp wallet transfer corp cash)
/me stops typing to give his hands a break.
that was a short list off the top of my head. Illustrates the problem that corp controls are totally crap and in many places broken

Well i'm sure those are serious issues to some eve players but for me the biggest issue being that when i remove roles to quit a corporation , then log off to wait the 24 hours and log in 30 hours later to just see that i have roles again making it difficult to quit the corporation, i find it ridiculous.
My thought of how to solve this: Make it so the directors/ceo can't give you roles without your consent , which gets rid of your exploitation of this game mechanics.
It'll save GM time aswell as the player's time
