Edited by: isAzmodeus on 25/02/2007 21:05:52 There have been a few suggestions for ways to remove isk from the system, so i thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.
1) Allow players to bribe concord for protection in low-sec. Not enough protection to insta-pop any attacker, but a small patrol to warp in and give them time to escape. Pirates with a coordinated group could still hit the person and survive the concord patrol, but it would be hard to solo. Have the cost based on player age. Maybe 10k isk PER day of age PER hour in low-sec. 10k doesn't sound like much, but it means a new player can get in for only a few hundred k, but a month old player will have to spend 7m per day. Year old players would have to spend 86 million PER DAY. The price would be low enough in the beginning to encourage new players to try out low-sec, but high enough for old characters to prevent wide-spread abuse. Also, limit it to 1 use per week or something.
2) Allow "specialized" research labs to be rented. They would be EXTREMELY expensive (think hundreds of millions to billions. Cost would be a multiple of the avg market price of the object being invented), but would offer a small (1-5% chance) for invention to create a BPO instead of a BPC.
3) Allow Concord to be bribed into altering security status. This could be done through adding a new agent to each faction (all in low-sec, obviously). You must have 7+ faction standing to use the agent. He only offers a multiple-mission sequence that concludes with him offering to "talk to" Concord on your behalf. The mission would be limited to once per month, and would improve your security status by a % towards 0. The cost of the offer would exponentially depend on the % increase you will receive. Someone with -2.1 could get to -1.99 for a few million and once through the mission sequence. Someone with -10 would take multiple times, and almost a billion. This also offers players a RP way to "Redeem" themselves in the eyes of the law.
4) Increase the cost of war-decs. Also make the cost scale based on the # of people in the target corp.
Anyone else have any suggestions to remove isk from the system?

Based on the size of the agressor seems more reasonable, that way it will go some measure toward protecting small corps from large ones.

I meant that the cost of the dec is based on the number of members in the decing corp, so for any given corp to dec anyone from another 10 person corp right up to bob it would cost the same amount. Now if it costs 100mil a 10 person corp to dec someone then it'd cost 1bil for a 100 person corp to dec someone.
