Two candidates for mine: a broken little finger, and this morning I somehow managed to cut the base of my thumb with a toenail while putting on a sock   . I've never heard of anyone doing that- and I'm sure there must be other similarly unique cases out there...?

Broke nearly all my toes by sliding in my computer chair but one of the wheels went straight over my foot :(

Not quite a disease/illness, but in my younger days, I had my tonsils removed.
One of them grew back.
Thought I was dying from some horrible smoking-related disease before an ENT specialist looked confused and then pointed out that I was the proud owner of a new tonsil. I dare say that's at least strange enough to qualify for this thread.

Duno, back in december I had the mother of all throat infections. As in: coughing up blood, hallucinating, inability to eat anything etc.

You sure that wasnt an acute case of EBOLA! :P
For me:
1. I was washing dishes and there was a knife in there... sliced straight down the top of my thumb all the way to my nail *I have short nails* still have a scar from it.
2. When I was around 6 years old. I was freezing cold after taking a bath, so I put my bare ass up to a space heater... had vertical stripes down my ass for around a month 
3. Recently I broke my pinky and left ring finger while playing roller hockey.

Broke a littlefinger like 5 years ago playing dodgeball.
Caught a ball which dislocated and broke the finger. Looked very weird

When I was 15, was out rock climbing by a waterfall, slipped and fell 90ft into a pool of water (safety rope wasnt that safe ) and my right arm was implailed by a tree on a tree at the botttom of the water pool.
So now i have a rather weird looking S shaped scar inside my right arm(tree impact), a scar that goes down the back of my right arm from my shoulder to just below my elbow (doctors entry to install plate) and i'm the proud owner of a metal plate 
For the record, 270 staples to hold the whole thing together

Slipped on a shiny floor, and put my (bare) foot under a door...
Well, I say my foot, it was more a case of "three of my toes went under the door, two of my toes went vertically up the door" accompanied by a loud *SNAP*
Was amusing (now I look back) to look down and see two toes sticking up at about a 60-degree angle!

A few years back in Karachi I made the mistake of getting a fruit drink (banana) from a street vendor. It was fine till the next morning when I had to run to the toilet and a yellow torrent game gushing out of my mouth.
After that I had diarrhoea for 10/11 days (I was back in England around 3 days after puking up - not because of the illness, just due to return) and I ended up losing a stone in weight. I also had the indignity of having my stool tested to see what was wrong with me...
Turns out I had contracted a couple of parasites from the drink. Basically the kind of thing you'd have to lick a duck's bum over here to get

Was in wrestling practice, pulled a guys head down to do a move but he snapped it back up. Broke my nose, that was a fountain of blood.

I got hit by a car once if you can call it that. Got slight bruising on my leg but the only other damage was it took a 1 cm diamete circle of flesh out of my leg and 2/3 of a cm deep. This was on the inside of my leg mind, I still have no idea how I managed that.

When I was I second grade I was carving a pumpkin for Halloween old-school-style (with a gigantic ass knife) and my hand slipped and sliced open my little finger, ring finger and middle finger. Much blood. Severed the tendon to my little finger.
I still can't bend the last joint on that one.

I was walking on a concrete flor with no bumps or imperfections of any kind. The space was free of obstacles, no stones, toys, in short a perfectly safe floor. Somehow I managed to trip, fell and brake my foot. I had to wear a cast for months. |

standing a little too close.. get a full smack on the helmet...
nose was broken.. and they had to cut off the helmet cuz it was bend down into the front lol..
was not fun.. sitting the at first aid with a dent in your helmet + a broken nose underneith it.. ;/

Ohh reminded me, in 4th grade, I was on top of a slide around 20 ft in the air. Decided to JUMP off the side NO ******* CLUE WHAT I WAS THINKING. Broke both arms.
Around 6th grade, me and some friends were playing in my basement ( has a concrete floor ), there was a long pipe going along the top of if that we used to climb on and swing on etc, we had decided to try somethin new. We put a skateboard under a clothes basket, and tried to land in it swinging from the pipe. I went first. I broke my left arm again.

Was playing a Basketball game called stinger. It's a last man standing type of game.
Anyway, there was just me and this girl who was not likely to win. It threw the ball and missed so it was bouncing back to me and i took one step forward and SLAMMED into the floor.
Then i noticed i had somehow stepped with the upper part of my foot. No clue how i did it.

When i was 3 on christmas day, i slipped off a balancing beam and landed full faced on another one breaking my nose. The doctors couldnt see me for 5 days so i left over christmas with a badly broken nose, the pain was so bad that i actualy *****ed it back into place myself and saved a trip to the doctors.
Then when i was 5 i was carrying paving slabs (you know how it is, you have to immitate your farther) and gave myself a severe hernia. One of my intestines actualy slipped right down into my nut-sack. I didnt know wtf was going on. I was fine after invaisive surgery.
And finaly, when i was about 7 or 8 i was climbing a tree, slipped fell and speared my ass on a broken branch. I mean really speared

As a child I had Pleurisy, which ended up filling my left lung completely with phlegm and half my right lung, and the end result was a 2 stone weight drop in 11 days.
I also almost lost my right leg to what we THINK was a spider bite, I got an infection in the leg well under the skin, that filled the back half of my leg from the lower part of my calf, to the middle of my thigh, and all the way around both sides of the back. I had a 3" long cut, an inch wide and deep on the back of my leg that could not be stiched, or stapled, and had to grow in normally, which took 9 months to do, with visits from a nursing service 2 times a day to clean it.
I broke a tow getting into a shower, and more recently fractured several bones in my foot dropping a computer on it.

When in 3rd Grade I had an itch that I had to scratch and it just so happend to be in the pubic region.
My teacher notices and comes and whispers in my ear and says thats something you need to do on your own time.
Years went on as I was thinking what the hell was she talking about when I finally realized she thought I was . . .

I have one that pwns all... well, a few.
1) when I was 4 I ran into a coffee table and knocked out my front tooth. took 14 years to grow back in.
2) when I was 5 my sister pushed me off a couch and into a coffee table where I split my head open in the back, almost ear to ear. took 88 stitches to close the cut.
3) At 10 my brother put a rusted fish hook in the back of my head. took 30 minutes to get to the hospital, 1hour and 30 minutes to be brought back into a room, 30 minutes to find someone with wire cutters, and another 30 minutes to steralize them. after that the doctor asked me if I wanted to keep the fish hook.
4) last year, when I was 17, I went to visit my relatives in virginia. I went into their basement. I turned my head up the stairs to answer a question, I turned back right in time to fit my head in between a lead pipe and a 2x4. I would have pulled it back out but right be hind my head was a nail pointing in just the right angle that I could not pull my head out. took 2 hours for them to finally cut the dam pipe.
in short, I am accident prone. be careful around me, never know what might happen.

I just remembered another one. When I was 3, I fell head first from the top bunk of a double bunk, in a caravan, and landed head first into a laundry basket, that was bolted to the floor with a metal base.

When i was about 7 or so I had this mate, and he had a 'girlfriend'. One playtime he decided to dump his girlfriend which i found hilarious however she thought it wasn't so funny and chased me around the playground. I tripped over a lifted slab and flew head first in to a cobbled wall. Split my eye open and had a bunch of stitches. Still got the scar :)

i got smacked in the mouth with a golf club when i was 12 i stood a bit too close to my m8 when he went to hit the golf ball, split my lip open and i had a tonque like a lizard had to have stitches in my lip and me tonque it still shows now, one side off my tonque sticks out more like theres a chunk missing in the other. Lawl
