Jove space is the personal playground of the devs, and as such is inaccessible. As for the ships, the only time I know of that people have seen them has been when the devs are flying about in them. -=^=-

There is no way to enter a Jove-system server node presently. Plenty of speculation and discussion about how they will play into things eventually, though. As of right now, they can be seen very rarely and occasionally flying around (only by devs), and are essentially flying p0wn-mobiles that will swat you right-quick.
Originally, the devs were going to allow players to eventually 'evolve' into Jovian characters, but this was abandoned it seems, since things would probably end up like SWG with 8 million jedi running around when they are supposed to be extremely rare.
Here's a portrait of one for ya:
An old FAQ for eve states the following:
"The races in EVE are all of human origin, though they have evolved and some have been genetically altered until they have become quite distinct in appearance and characteristics. Players may choose to portray a character from four of the five races in EVE. These are: Amarr, Caldari, Gallente and Minmatar. Each race branches off into two bloodlines. The fifth race, Jovian, is unavailable to players at this time, though players will be given the opportunity to evolve into Jovians in the future."
But, over three years old, and it's not going to happen. So you might see them rarely flyign solo ships or as part of GM events.
Hope this helps.

If you use the database to look at the Jove ships, you'll also see why players cant fly them. Most of them are 8/8/8 layout monstrosities with amazing resists and hitpoints and fitting stats. Any Jove ship flown by a player would be horrificly godmode and unbalanced. ________________

Which is why, when the war comes, we're going to be in a whole heap of trouble. All speculative of course but I can think of no better use for the jovians in GM run events than incursions into 'our' space for some smiting.
Some of the best events we had in another online persistent space thingy were GM run incursions by quality alien ships. Lots of 'pew pew' as they say round these parts, and lots of running away.
