Hi folks. I played EVE for a while back in 2005 and had to leave the game because of some RL issues- essentially, no time for games. That, however has changed a bit. ;)
After Revelations went out, the EVE folks were nice enough to send me an email and reminded me of the fun I had in my limited time playing the game before. So I'm back, hopefully this time for a while.
My current career interests in EVE lean toward research, production and so forth. I'm not averse to PVP but honestly- it's not the first thing I look to do. In other MMOs I have especially enjoyed detailed crafting systems and creating items. Much of my enjoyment of MMOs comes from meeting and working with other people. I absolutely despise and loath drama. At my age (almost 40) I just don't have the patience or time for histrionics in a game.
I'm hoping there's some corps out there with a low-key, have-fun and go-somewhere attitude suitable for someone like myself. I have a lot of questions about the best path to take to maximize my enjoyment of the game, but I'm also very helpful to anyone when I can be. I expect what I want out of the game will change as I explore new facets of it.
I live in the Western US (Pacific time zone), but I'm usually on late at night. I'm currently at about 900K skill points, mostly focused in learning and some navigation.
Best regards and thanks,
Jimer Lins ---- "Open the Pod Bay doors, HAL." "I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that." |

Edited by: Intel Chiba on 04/03/2007 11:08:50 Check out www.theoldergamers.com A world wide gaming community for 25+ folk covering a large selection of online games. Yes we understand the meaning of RL.
We have a couple of corps inside Eve (different folk, different playstyles) each dedicated to such things as empire building in 0.0, carebearing in Empire space and pvp'ing in lowsec.
TOG Empire (the carebear corp) is brand new (see our recruitment thread below), so not alot of members as yet.
If interested in TOG (the forum or us in Eve) evemail me, or just come and say hello at the forums.
In any case, welcome back to Eve Online!
hmm.. I didn't know so many 'experienced' folk played Eve
