I've just gone through all the interfaces, and it doesn't look like there's one for inventing ammo. Is this the case?

Probably,
But the point of invention is to lower the price of the highest margin items (this is what smart business people will target). I can't imagine circumstances where someone would actually want to invent ammo to be honest.

thing is, T2 ammo is different ammo all together then T1. Therefore it cannot be invented from a T1 BPC (yet?)
At least. this is what a dev stated some time back, can't be bothered finding the post or blog. I personally don't see the issue. We have, for example, a Ferox. The T2 version is a Vulture, or Nighthawk. Different ship, different names / stats / hardpoints. The only similarity is the hull. We can invent these. Then you have ammo, for example, Antimatter charges. The T2 versions are the same type of ammo, just different stats. Seems very similar to the ship example, doesn't it? Maybe a dev can clear it up, or at least someone who knows the reasons for certain?

It is not possible to invent Tech II ammo because, well, Tech II ammo doesn't exist. A Dev at one point said that the "Tech II" ammo is just a special type of Tech I ammo, but it has the Tech II sign so that people know it's for Tech II guns.

Also, at the price of datacores and the max of 14-19 runs you would get from an invented bpc, you would just lose money, I'm learning. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions of 400x120 pixels -Valorem ([email protected])

Aren't T2 ammo BPO's seeded just like the other T2 BPO's though? If they're simply a tweaked T1 version, as the previous posted stated, then shouldn't we be able to buy these on the market? &º¬íí-T«+ºH for all your political humor needs |

T2 ammo BPO's are R/D seeded yes, but i don't know why you want to invent it
I have a Javelin M BPO, and at Jita prices (buy/sell) it costs about 265isk to make a unit of ammo, which then sells for around 310. You'll probably make more money building tech one.

Say that again, in 6-12 Months when the BPO Lottery ended and half of the existing amunition BPO's vanished somehow from activ game ;)
