Hey Guys ,
I just got back into the game i was hoping to get a quick help on which boat to get into for exploration purpose. My skill are mostly gallente/drone boats.
I would like to mostly do solo ( or small group with 2 friends ) exploration in WH space. Running some c1/c2/c3 combat site would be great if doable but i'm not sure i can manage it with my skills.
Thanks for the help !

I like a helios for exploring and scanning. Cloaky and relatively cheap if you lose it.
It would help to know how much SP you have and what ships you can fly. |

If you're looking for a ship to run the "null sec" data and relics in c1-3 space, an Astero does quite well. No need for drone skills as the sites do not spawn NPCs

I see your posting is still as bad as your Panther fit and piloting. Expect nothing less

Putting purple on your ship even though it's worse and more expensive is your choice. You could have spent that isk on some better EANMs instead

The Helios is a top notch choice for pure explo -- the extra mid slots compared to the Cheetah or Anathema give you better flexibility in boosting your scanning abilities, and it's the one I fly when not in an Astero.
The Astero is my hull of choice when exploring, as properly dual-rep fit it can tank like a beast and allow for jumping on any other explorers. If you have at least CovOps IV, though, you may prefer the scan bonus of those ships... Or if you're a poor (which you shouldn't be doing exploration). If you're ultra-risk averse and can tolerate the lock range and time negatives you can put 4 stabilizers in an Astero, making it essentially uncatchable by anything other than a 'dictor.
A well fit Gnosis can easily handle C2s, and can probably manage C3s solo -- but I can't say that with confidence. You can pilot this damn thing on day one of a trial, so that's a nice bonus. I wouldn't generally recommend a ship for both relic/data sites and combat sites, preferring to switch out to something new.
Also -- I find the ISK/hr for anything lower than C3 to be lackluster. Just doing relics will treat your wallet better than C2 ratting. |

There's a sticky thread here titled "what ships should I fly for wspace sites". its title might be a clue as to what is hidden within.
