Hello New Edeners!
I'm awfully lost picking out a Holiday gift for myself (figures, I'm terribly indecisive IRL). What gifts would be best for a noob? Bear in mind that I am fresh to EVE so many if not all of the gifts might as well in Greek to me.
Regarding the neural remap - I have the 2 fresh ones provided for every new character. Should I get the neural remap gift and save the other 2 for a rainy day?
My Attributes currently look like this: All of the attributes except Charisma have 20 points to them. (Charisma has 19)
Thanks for putting up with me, and Merry Christmas!
PS. Please ignore the "member for 5 months" - I tried a 14 day trial in the summer and barely got anything of value done. I've all but forgotten the controls and everything. Really, I am a few-days old noob. |

I guess it depends on what you want from the gift. The remap is a decent choice, since you can't buy remaps. All the other choices are items available on the market, so you have other ways of obtaining them. If you want to do/have things now or don't care about an extra remap, you're better off with another choice. The remap options is a good one, especially if you don't really know what to pick.
PS. The remap gift option will just give you a third extra remap in storage you can use when you want. |

All the gifts are much alike in isk value. I'd pick the novelty implant as you already have a bunch of remaps. FIRE FRIENDSHIP TORPEDOES ! |

I picked the neural remap simply because it is not tradable, you can't buy it, and there are no special offers apart from this one which allow you to acquire one.
Everything else on that list is tradable, and thus can be acquired by simply exchanging ISK with someone.

Neural remaps are great for older characters who have the luxury of focusing on a specific set of skills over a long period.
For newbies who will likely will swap around a lot, it is probably less helpful. It really depends on how much you need raw ISK. The value of gifts maxes out at about 60 mil. |

I myself picked the set which gave 5,000 heavy missiles and heavy assault misilles of each kind. I sold all of them except the ones I use myself ( kinetic HM and HAM ), made my about 30M for selling the others, and I got 5.000 missiles as well for myself, no need for remap - I have 3 left available. |
