I started playing a little over 3 weeks ago. In that time, I went from 800k skill points to about 1.3 million. When I built the character, I made a Gallente Intaki Soldier, and placed 3 points in Intelligence, and 2 in Charisma, wanting to make a character that was able to learn skills quickly, and get along well with NPCs, but I also wanted him to be a kickass fighter. At the time, I didn't really understand what skills do what. As I played, I learned that Perception and Willpower were the primary combat skills. Once all my Rank 1 Learning skills are at level 4, and my Rank 3 Learning skills are at 3, my Perception will be 10, and my Willpower will be 14. Will this only have a minimal, negative impact on my ability to fight, or should I redo my character from scratch? I'd rather not start over after 3 weeks of getting him to where he is now, but will if it means my combat is going to suck. Thanks for any info. :)

As a person who made the mistake of ending up with low perception and willpower, then deciding to be a combat based character I can say that it can be a little annoying. However it won't make you suck; just a little extra time on most of the combat skills. But so far I've been getting on ok, and I have 17 perception with both the basic and advanced learning skills at 5! But that's where implants come in I suppose
However. If you feel that you would prefer to make a new character and adjust the attributes and retrain, then go for it. However if you like your current character, and want to continue on using him, then you'll be able to manage I'm sure.

Thanks for the response. I don't mind taking longer to train something, but I heard the skills affect performance as well. Like if you have low perception, then you won't be able to track enemies with your turrets, as quickly as you could with high perception. But if it only affects training time, then there is no problem. Is that all it affects?

Perception is the most commonly used attribute in the game, and you're only 3 weeks in, I'd say you could go either way with it.
