Intaki Liberation Front disavows collusion with Amarr Empire
In recent days it has become apparent that the certain elements are attempting to discredit the efforts of the Intaki Liberation Front through a direct and intentional misrepresentation of the facts at hand. Saxon Hawke, leader of the ILF, was blindsided recently by Scope reporter Delver Rootnose in the public channel of the Aunia System. Following a friendly greeting by Mr. Hawke, Mr. Rootnose began a line of questioning leading to a request for a statement concerning the ILFÆs involvement with the Amarr Empire. ôI am, frankly, quite shocked with Mr. RootnoseÆs behavior and would have thought a trained Scope journalist would have conducted a private interview to get his facts in order before broadcasting a public report,ö Mr. Hawke said following the incident. ôReally, I expect more from Scope than this sort of ambush technique.ö As Mr. Hawke stated at that time of the interview, the ILF has no formal ties to the Amarr Empire directly or indirectly through any Amarri Corporations. This continues and will continue to be the case. ôAs the ILF grows in size, we are attracting a good deal more scrutiny,ö Mr. Hawke said. ôWe have been approached by a number of CEOs; some offering support and others just curious as to our intent. However, as the sole share holder and ultimate decision maker for the ILF, I can say unequivocally that the Intaki Liberation Front has formed no allegiance with forces of the Amarri Empire.ö Mr. Hawke went on to say that he believes Pro-Federation forces were ultimately behind the smear campaign, intimidated by the growing strength of the Intaki Liberation Front. ôI admire the tenacity of these nationalistic corporations,ö Mr. Hawke said. ôBut when logic and reason fail them, they find it necessary to resort to duplicitous gossip.ö In the interest of full disclosure, Mr. Hawke did acknowledge that the Intaki Liberation Front has recruited a single Amarri pilot. He said that Mr. Corelous Alterrian had been a member of the ILF for about three weeks at the time of Mr. RootnoseÆs accusatory interview. ôMr. Alterrian joined the ILF at my request following a philosophical discussion we shared concerning means by which conflicts can be resolved without violence,ö Mr. Hawke explained. Mr. Alterrian is a devotee of the teachings found in the Pax Amarria. His primary role in the ILF is to teach its members the manualÆs lessons in peaceful negotiations and to serve as an ambassador of goodwill between the ILF and the many people he meets in his travels. ôMr. Alterrian has proven to be both insightful and entertaining and above all he is loyal to the cause of a free and independent Intaki state,ö Mr. Hawke said. ôHe is a credit to this organization and we take no shame in counting him among our ranks.ö As to the corporation or corporations behind the promulgation of the Amarri allegiance rumor, Mr. Hawke offered an open invitation to discuss matters in a setting of the corpsÆ choosing. ôI will continue to argue for a peaceful secession, a velvet revolution if you will, for as long as I am able,ö Mr. Hawke said. ôTo that end, I am always available for a meaningful dialogue with anyone with an interest in the matter.ö
