Edited by: Joebarchuck on 16/03/2007 09:14:25 Hello,
I have run this mission before in an old corp and there are some nice faction loots in the 6th room but I cannot find an agent that will give it to me.
Has anyone gotten it? If so, can I have the name of the agent or at least the corp?
Thanks a lot

Use Caldari agents. My old Spacelane Patrol agent used to give it out all the time.

There is never any guarantee for faction loot but from experience with my old corp it's about 30 to 40% of the time.
Still leaves 70% with no loot, so it is basically luck but it is easy to farm after server restart for the time of the mission so you only loose the bonus but you can gain many faction items.

Out of the people that got something, was it always in the optional room in the Gurista Silo?

I got Dread XL Booster a couple days ago. My Minmatar agent gives Guristas Extrv quite often. It helps if you have good standing with your agent because it is considered a good mission. --------------

i've never had any good loot in the 6th room. I'm still waiting.
It takes me about 5 hours to run this, how can I quicken this up solo?

5 hours is way to long to be taking on this mission.
This mission should take no more than 1.5 hours.
To be taking 5 hours you either have the wrong setup or running the mission wrong.

Well it might be both. Torps are very slow, but I find cruise don't kill faster anyhow. Must be the way i do the mission, or it could be my damage output isn't high enough. Thats a possibility.
Next time I get it, i'll time it and note how I'm doing it, then I can ask advice.

Bonus room sucks. I am lucky to get an item that is worth more than 200k on the market. Did the mission over the weekend and best I got was a lousy 80k named t1 webber d:

I don't agree at all that the bonus room suck. It is less challenging than either stage 4 or 5, drop roughly 8m in bounties and have a few drops. Slap a tractor in the final slot if you fly a raven version and just grab the 1m items as they drop. Be that guns or launchers, they are worth the few seconds it takes to loot. With Gurista being almost purely Kinetic it is by far the easiest tank to fit. If you salvage, slap a bookmark on the last stage, complete the mission and enjoy the added BS'!

Heh Heh. Almost blew myself up on this last night. Put in the wrong tank. :( Then I let my tank get away from me. Got to 71% structure. Then didn't bookmark a good warp-to spot. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. And no excuses, I've run the mission quite a few times for Kaalakiota...

use loads of bcu's. in the mids all you really need is kinetic hardeners and a large or xl sb. i wouldnt even waste putting thermal hardeners on. maybe 1 at the most.
like you said though.. your dps may just not be high enough due to lack of skills (?). prolly not anything you're doing. the mission is pretty straightforward.

Try this setup
6x Cruise (best named or T2) 2x Hvy NOS (Named)
1x XL T2 SB 1x Booster Amp II 4x T2 Hardners (usually use 1 invul + 3 specific)
2 or 3 x PDS II 3 or 2 x BCU II
Rigs: much variation here, but I like my combo of Bay Accelerator & Warhead Calefraction.
This worked really well for me (before I spent loads if isk on some faction gear)

Thats pretty similar to what I've had setup, though not sure I could fit that.
I currently use for GE and most missions for that matter:
6 x Arbalest siege 1 x heavy nos (heavy dim) 1 x med nos
1 x XL shield booster II 1 x shield boost amp II 3 x shield hardners II 1 x cap booster w/800's.
4 x PDS II 1 x CPU II
I have noticed i'm not using my shield booster much anymore. I guess my tanking is much better than it used to be. I had no idea you could run GE that quick. So in light of what is being said i'm thinking along the lines of:
6 x arbalest cruise 2 x heavy nos (heavy dim)
1 x XL shield booster II 3 x shield hardners II 1 x AB 1 x Target painter Ii
3 x PDS II 2 x BCU
I need to check that I can fit this, but its likely I can. Never tried BCU II's.
Not sure about rigs, I haven't tried any yet. ------------------------------------------------

Viscount,
try 6 x t2 sieges large booster 2 kinetic 1 thermic, 1 invul hardenrs target painter
3 bcu 2s, 2 pdu 2s
you have around 88-89 kinetic resist can run booster almost forever and fire power is really nice - 8sec with my skills -------------------------------------------------- i need a new sig :) |

Hmm , I think u have to work on your missile launcher and on ur engeneering skills . Rapid fire , warhead upgrade , cruise missiles and torpidoes skills .
for the ship fitting i suggest the following
Hi : 6 Arb. Seige launchers 2 heavy dim. NOS
Med : 2 knt and 2 Thermal tech II hardners ..... i hope u can go for faction one if u will keep doing mission cuz it's rocks 1 XL shield booster techII 1 Shield boost Imp. Tech II
Low 1 DC 2 BCS 2 PDS
u will be doing fine :)
and for the rigs , if u will run missions for a loong time i suggest 1 Shield knt 1 Shield themal 1 CCC

It is quite valid setup but XL booster and x800 charges are essential if things get hairy. Granted - you do not need quite that mutch in most missions. I would not count GE extra stage being 'most missions' either tho, so taking XL booster in there can give you those exstra 15 seconds you need to warp out when you slip a bit and get em all on your head. Matter of personal choice at the end of day tho.
Then again it's quite pain to try to fit XL booster and T2 siege launcgers. I'm myself preferring cruise missile approach containing Hi: 6x Cruise T2 Med: XL T2, Cap injector (x800), 4x T2 hardeners Low: Damage Control, 3x BCU II, 1x CPU Plus 2x missile rigs (signature) and 1x thermal resitance rig

Nice setup. Love the drake. Which agent do you have or in which system is it. I never get the GE (Aunia)
