Defending a POS, you get some pilots in, launch into ships inside your shield, but you got only what ammo you brought with you, cant get into the Corp Hangar Array....seems kinda dumb. This leaves you two options, safe spot ammo dump in anchored containers because you can't anchor containers inside the shield. Or leaving your ships full of ammo inside the shield but not docked, leaving alot of clutter.
I can see the exploit here leaving indy's full of fuel etc docked at a ship array negating need for corp hangar array, but you could just leave indys floating in space full of fuel and ammo etc. Your ships in station hangars are allowed fuel and ammo and cargo holds full, but why not at a POS?

if you want ammo but you don't want to leave ships about I'd suggest jettisoning GSC's full of ammo....you can't anchor them but they will just float around your POS just waiting to be used. Clutter could be cut down if you just bump all the cans into one central location

Seriously, you can do this? I thought you couldn't dock ships with anything in the cargo hold. Tell me I'm wrong, please, and I've been ignorant all this time

I take it that this is due to the fact that the ships defending the POS are 'friends/allies' and not Corp Members?
Otherwise you can just keep Ammo in the Hanger Array.....

It is because once the POS is in reinforced, you cant access the corp hangar anymore afaik. Correct me if I'm wrong, been a while :)

I see - that wasn't clear in your post. You're quite right, the Hanger Array will go offline when in reinforced as it uses CPU. In which case Secure cans are the way - or, I would have thought - the defending squad should come with integral logistic support as well...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you still take things out of an offlined hangar array?
I haven't had the need for a POS for about 5 months, but I used to offline hangars to store things. _______________ Pwett CEO and Founder [QTC]QUANT Corp.

Use unanchored Secure cans, they can be bumped etc, but wont disappear on DT.

Corps hangers don't go off line when reinforced...they don't use any CPU
