Not a huge deal, I know, but could you (CCP) make it so that when we choose a skin for the pod (like the blue Upwell Consortium one) it stays on it until we manually change it like the other ships?
At the moment, when I choose the skin for the pod it goes on but as soon as I go into another ship/sign out or whatever, the next time I go out in the pod it is back to no skin/default and a skin has to be re-applied. It would be nice if (for example) the blue Upwell Consortium skin was automatically still on the pod (if currently selected) whenever I leave a ship and fly around in my pod until I deem it fit to change it again.
Like I said, no big deal but would be nice. If there is a reason for how it is now...then OK, but don't really see why it's not like the other ships. |

I believe it's because when you put your pod into another ship then exit the ship (through whatever means) the game treats it as a 'new' pod. Rather than storing it as a database object even while it is docked into some other ship. I could be wrong but that's my understanding of the game code. I.E. Legacy code stuff. |

it doesn't do this with other sips.
i can EOM a prov get out repack get back in and it is still EOM. it remembers your settings for the ship type not what was last used on a particular ship pods just dont for some reason

That could still be an issue with pods in particular even though it works fine with ships. There are more differences between pods and ships in the game than similarities and that's by a landslide. That much difference in code cannot possibly guarantee that they all play by the same rules and regs. A similar issue is likely holding them up on adding T3C SKINs, even though the Confessor in fact now has the Purity SKIN.
Hell, even the rate that SKINs are released in general tells me they must have to build them for each ship hull AND each variant from scratch each time. CCP could also be ridiculously lazy, or just running into some other weird oddities under the hood that we players don't see.
