First of all, first post here, hiya
now, my first big eve disappointment...
Microwarp Drives in missions...
I can understand the stopping of lil frigs running around at a billion m/s not getting hit by anything and completing missions easily. But the reason I want to use my MWD, over an afterburner, is that lengthy trawl around picking up cans after i've killed a wave. I'm flying my Raven and it's not exactly a speed demon and I'd think using the MWD in combat would more work to my disadvantage. It would save me loads of time picking up cans though.
I don't have a solution for this, except random hypothesis - such as certain items not just jamming propulsion and limiting your max speed - how about they also prevent you using your MWD/AB. Perhaps a longer range version of the webber that is not so good at limiting max speed, but also screws these drives up. That could quite conceivably eliminate the 'frigging' of missions with MWD (by the way, I can only guess this is the reason for it, the GM said that it was to make the missions harder).
My other suggestion is much simpler!
I have about 288 items sitting in my station. It'd be real nice to have a kind of directory structure, creatable by me, so I could throw all the crud I loot into one place to be sorted, have another for all the missiles and drones I have spare for my ship, another for items related to missions to be put (so when I accept the delivery I don't have to search through 288 items).
I think you get me;P

Don't I need skills for that, and to leave them outside in space?

No, you buy "station container" item and just assemble and use in your hanger. Think of it like buying a locker (but one you can then never move into your ship)

I've recently started using station containers, and while they certainly make sorting your items and keeping them grouped well enough, they're still a bit tedious to work with... For example, I have a container I drop all the loot I'm not going to use or sell outright, which I labeled Reprocess These... Of course to do so, I still have to move them from the container into the main hangar hold, which may be full of other stuff, and they all end up intermingling...
It'd be nice to have some additional hangar functionality from within the containers, such as reprocessing...
Another problem I had was I changed my home station to one in lower sec space, but I couldn't move the station container, but neither could I sell or reprocess it since it was under 3 weeks old... That one kinda threw me for a loop...

Edited by: DaShedra on 26/03/2007 21:51:36 I have heard a common complaint with miners who would like to use containers in their mining barges, and having a container "hopper" with items that get placed automatically by type would help with ores, ice, minerals and salvaged wreck items just to name a few.
With that container idea in mind, to prevent piracy, and your ship's valuable cargo from being at risk, could you imagine a container that had a warp-drive that warped the cargo you were carrying on to the nearest station to be claimed by you in the item's section of your hanger? That would be great for research blueprints that you finished researching for several months and had the material efficiency also completed. Of course I wouldn't expect a container to have the warp drive usable unless refueled...
Thanks!

yeah all greta points outside my scope of requirement but others can benifit. Not sure about warping containers tho... perhaps one with a cloak, vastly reduce signature radius or something so you have to be within 10km to see it or summit.
