For the most part, the module rebalance was successful and I do like what they did with the meta-modules.
Obviously, it is not finished yet and I hope CCP will continue with the rebalance the way they did for the modules that are done now.
What I would like to propose for the ones still missing:
- one meta module for armor hardeners - one meta module for energized platings - one meta module for energized armor layering - one meta modules for resistance platings
(shield modules only have one, so no change needed)
- an enduring, scoped and compact cap transfer - an enduring, scoped and compact remote hull transfer
(unless I misses it, those are still meta 1-4)
- one enduring and compact shield booster - one enduring and compact armor repair
All of the modules "normalized" on the meta 4 modules.
That would look better for the progression for the modules, since the green, blue and purple modules are going into that direction.
- one enduring, scoped and compact gun (turret or bay)
Please add anything I missed and we should have fixed EVE modules wise.

My understanding is that module tiericide is a spare time project and it's a safe bet the devs haven't had much of that lately. I am hoping they raise the priority over the winter as I see completion of tiericide as prerequisite to player built meta modules - the named components needed are already on the market.
Compact makes sense for just about any module that uses CPU and power. Restrained for anything that uses capacitor. Past experience suggests the devs will publish their plans and give us a reasonable amount of time to comment. |

Just putting it out there since it has been a while since the last batch of module changes.
Faction guns could use a little love-making too.

Resistance Platings are going to be interesting in that case, because they use no cap and no CPU, and have no drawbacks. You can't tiericide these in any obvious way. |

Add fitting costs to non-basic tiers maybe? You could have basics, then the variants with elevated resist profiles with the drawback of requiring, power or CPU or dropping top speed or something.
Other way to do it would be typed resist penalites. So the basic is a flat resist, variants being slightly elevated main resist with a penalty to another resist. |

Pretty sure there is a tracking variant for turrets. Look at the meta versions of high angle weapons.
Easiest thing to do with resistance plating, either don't bother with a meta version, it doesn't HAVE to have one, or make one that uses 0.85 grid. It'll make a difference on some fits.

I imagine CCP will avoid this though as they've never had a base PG or CPU stat that wasn't a whole number. |

Then you have been lucky. Passive shield resistance amplifiers do have a powergrid requirement of 0.75 with all V skills.
Daichi, I have used the compare tool with turrets a lot and if you combare 200mm railguns or mega pulse lasers and order by meta level, all tracking is the same from t1 to purple.

All turrets/missile launchers need a tiericide pass.
Sneaky bastard.

I did say base stat. Most things end up with fractional values when you apply the {thing} Upgrades skills to them. |

It's only on high angle weapons (these are capital turrets) atm.

Okay then. I haven't looked at those, since I don't fly them on TQ and I haven't had the time to look at them. My invitation still stands. Add a proposal of what you think. Just as in my other thread I am merely collecting ideas.

Faction guns could use a little love-making too.
If seen some comments in focus groups about allowing faction/officer guns to use T2 ammo. They do need an overhaul I think ccp knows and will do so once they get around to the last 2 rounds of tiericde.
I belive whats left are tanking modules for both shield/armor and weapon systems.
Edit: Likely(we hope) they fix medium projectiles on the the tiericide pass as well. My understanding is the AC Med Falloff got over nerfed when they nerfed Large ACs? |
