I was hoping for something more exciting in new Dev blog
QFT.
Nothing good is going to come from giving this guy any attention; some people just have way too much time on their hands.
How is ambulation going? Planetary interaction? Any metrics on the voice chat yet? Planned improvements to invention? More thoughts on tech2? Tons of stuff I would rather read about in the blog...
-Grid
ccp has thousands of former players wonder how many are upset with them.

The Blog is serving as a warning to people that giving away too much personal information can cause problems for everybody, and is attempting to inform the community that another "incident" has taken place.
Those of you who are defending said twerp are out of place in your defense here. One person is out an account just because they work with CCP and a twerp thinks he's doing the world a favor by ruining people's main characters, generally without further provocation or excuse.
How righteous of him.
so they change the name cant be any harder then changing a file name

This is a prime example of someone who has been told some false information, has been shown some rumours and has fallen for it hook line and sinker.
No I'm not misled, you and SirMolle have both in the past posted personal information about other players and neither of you have been punished.
There are screenshots that show JV1V having over 800 during the battle, no limit was imposed.
You perhaps had fun because the game rule enforcement was changed to favor you side without informing the general gaming community.
You set up your defenses in such a manner that the limit assisted you and one could easily deduce that from your defense setup you were aware of the limit prior to the engagement yesterday, and you could only have known that they'd decided to enforce it when previously they hadn't was if some GM or Dev told you when they did not tell any other members of the community.
Once again it is clear that CCP has to close a relationship with Band of Brothers. Once again the rules are bent and remolded to favor BoB.
I challenge CCP to prove that they have equal numbers of devs in all alliances. Because quite frankly I don't believe it. The record of BoB not being punished for EULA violations is long, while at the same time others have been harshly punished for the same or similar violations.
Interesting thought. Here's another one. Has anyone stopped to think that there may be an equal number of people breaking the rules in every other alliance in game? The only reason they go unheard of is noone wants to dig out the skeletons in thier own closet. With the amount of people selling isk, macro mining and otherwise being evil you'd expect the forums to be filled with the tripe.
Of course a possibility. But lets look at it like this. There are at least 10 big alliances in this game (say 1000 members or more). You would think that if this indeed just a random thing, each of these 10 would accuse some of the other 9 of it whenever they lost a fight. However, that is not the case. All these alliances, who often are certainly no friends of these alliances either accuse noone of having Devs, or they accuse BoB. Noone ever accused RA or AAA or D2 or IRON or RAZOR etc. of getting favored by developers. Only BoB. Over and Over again.
If your assumption was right, there would be many more alliances where these kinds of accusations would be made, however, fact is there are no (or extremely few) accusations of Dev involvement, except for BoB.
not true as LV accused ccp of adding goons with the instant sov they gained in omist. just bobs developers are better then d2s developers.

Yea!!! bob doesnt cheat, never has cheated, never will cheat, and oh... no devs has or ever will be a member of bob when will the rest of eve learn?
Oh get real the developers are there to get information as to where they should add processing power for major engagements. the fact that bob suckered a lot of capitals into a trap with a leaked story wont change that.

Lastly, telling people to go away if they don't like the way you communicate is suicidal. I for one won't stick around if that is the way it's going to be(HI Pirates of the Burning Sea).
Important quote here - it's obvious that currently no other mmorpg has the ability to draw the larger part of the EVE community away from EVE, hence CCP can act the way they do. However it's going to be interesting to see what happens, once a mmorpg that presents itself as a proper alternative to EVE. To some extent I can't help but laugh at the fact that what CCP are doing right now, might come back and bite them in the ass so hard, that they can't sit down again... (crap pun there btw )
If there was one i would be gone. ccp's idea of a mmorpg is that its all gangs fighting all the time.
