Whenever I try logging into my main the screen will go black as always, pop-up the 'Entering Station' loading bar as always, and then sit there with the bar full and never actually transition INTO the station or anything. It just sits there. I've read around and I haven't been able to try clearing my CACHE folder because for some reason my directory doesn't have one. o.O I re-installed the game about a week ago and it was working fine, and I've never looked in the directory so I'm assuming that if I don't have a CACHE folder now then I never had one to begin with. |

My client locks up when loading the character selection screen, four attempts out of five roughly. So slightly different but possibly related...

I've been having this problem also. It is caused, for me, by clone jumping. The screen will go black and the process will continue normally up to the point where the message, "ENTERING STATION Setup Station XXXXX". The progress bar will . . . uh, progress to the end, the border of the message will flicker, as normal, but never actually completes setting up the station. Network activity will continue for about a minute then cease. If I hit Esc the message will disappear. If I hit it again the standard config window will open and in the background I can see the inside of the station, but it's out of focus, which is normal. If I hit Esc again, or click "Close Window" I am returned to the black screen. As long as I am at the black screen I can see people logging in and off.
I have tried clearing my cache, all known methods, and none work. The first time I had this problem it did not go away, even after waiting 24 hours to see if DT fixed the problem. In the end I did a fresh install and was able to access my character again. Since I am on dial-up (the only thing available where I live) this was a very long and painful process, one which I am not eager to repeat.
Since then I have had this problem several more times. Each time I have been able to access my character again after several log-in attempts over the course of 20-60 minutes. This problem only affects the character that clone jumps; I am always able to log into my alt.
I have now been trying to log into my character for about an hour and it doesn't look like it's going to let me in this time. I really, REALLY don't want to do a fresh install again. Does anyone have any info on this issue?

I don't believe it to be caused by lag, at least not in my case. The systems into and out of which I am jumping are in lightly populated 0.0 and lag is never an issue for any other activity. Even if lag were an issue, I have had this problem during all hours of game play and on days other than the weekend. Also, only one of my clones has his head crammed full of implants, the others are au natural yet the problem happens no matter into which clone I jump.
P.S. I was able to access my main character after 1.5 hours or so.

Well up until now I've not encountered this problem again, but now it's haunting me once more. Also I can't help but notice a distinct lack of helpful advice, so I'm bumping this post in hopes that someone can offer an answer instead of more instances of a bug that seems be being ignored by those that don't suffer from it.

I have the same problem, Entering Station screen seems to hang. Its only started in the last 24hours.
I've had some success by just leaving the screen for upwards of 20 minutes, sometimes the Eve client will CTD but sometimes I'm able to enter the game. However after 5min or so the game freezes, and I need to switch off my computer to get out of it.
If you find a fix please share it! Thanks.

Just press ESC, go to the GENERIC Settings Tab and toggle 'Merge 'ITEMS' and 'SHIPS' into Station' (Any other settings change may work to). Close the Settings using the 'Close Window' button and the Station Screen is up again. Just Do it twice (toggle it back) and you are back in business as usual.
Well, this helped me out today. No guarantee that it will work for all of you. If it is a LAG Problem, the LAG delay may have been over when I toggled that switsch.
But I think, this is a general cache problem with the client settings. Somehow the station cache got screwed up after my last clone jump forcing be into that issue. Deleting the Settings Folder ALWAYS helped me out in the past. Deleting the MachoNet Folder helped me out of it a SINGLE time.
Those crude workarounds led me to the Idea to just MODIFY the settings with the client itself. To initiate a internal cache sync or settings reload or something. And it worked.
Well, this has to undergo some confirmation though.
