Here's an idea I've been thinking of to make POS warfare at least a bit more manageable.
Put in an option to actively select when a POS will come out of reinforement, if it has enough strontium. So if you are a Euro or NA centric corp/alliance, you can have it come out when you are strongest, as long as you have enough strontium in it.
Now, some rules.
1. You cannot adjust the timer when the structure is in reinforced, it can only be changed before hand.
2. If you don't have enough strontium, then it comes out when it runs out, as usual.
3. If there is spare Strontium after it comes out of reinforcement selectively, then it cannot go back into reinforcement until it's shields are above 50% (as it normally would be to put strontium into the POS)

The timer is already completely controllable in teh manner you describe by simply adjusting the amount of strontium in the resource hangar. _____________________________________________

wrong.
12h stront + reinforced @ 12:00 = returns at 0:00. 12h stront + reinforced @ 0:00 = returns at 12:00.
the supposed effect of the idea would be:
24h stront = returns at 0:00 (or whatever you want) regardless of time of reinforcement.

If you're only strong at one point in the day, then put in enough stront to last from when you go offline to when you come back on. Adjust it every time you log off if you must.
If you have so many POS that that isn't practical, then you should be in a large enough alliance that there is more than one person capable of doing so.
I agree that POS warfare needs to be fixed, but fixing the stront timer is like putting savlon on a sucking chest wound. _____________________________________________

I like the idea, but I am not for it. POS wars already suck hard. Now you dont even have to go to you pos to manage stront and you get peak hour times. That would be a total pain in the ass. Ni4Ni |

Oh I'm no fan of POS warfare, and I agree that the whole concept needs a serious overhaul. But barring that, I think the ability to have a POS come out of reinforcement prematurely is an easy option to make it a little more tolerable.

That would remove the entire point behind the reinforced timer, which is to force the attackers and defenders to meet face to face to wrap up the argument. If the defenders could just hit stop button and recharge the POS whenever they felt like it the attacker would have to camp it 24/7. You think POS wars boring now? Wait until EVERY enemy POs needs to be watched 24/7 incase they try and fix it up -----
