v1.2.2 Finally Uploaded the videos (finally got fiber). These are all Pre-Ascension but from what I can tell no major changes have taken place to any of the burners (shocking I know).

My new connection has opened up a few new possibilities of things I've always wanted to try. I was thinking about recording and uploading a 3h blitzing session like I always threatened I'd do to showcase the whole process, including spreadsheets and the works. Would be interesting to see if people do things differently / better.

Thank you so much for your guide. I am a career Golem pilot who has already started the transition (skills first, then ships) toward the Mach and burner fits. Can't wait to not have to decline burners.
Is this thread an appropriate place to ask questions about your guide and point out possible typos if I discover them?
Again, thanks for compiling that information. "Extremely useful" is an understatement. |

Thank you! Here goes. (I'm very excited to get to have contact with you, so I have a lot of questions.)
1. I loaded my character and your Mach. fit into EFT. I gave my character the implants you suggest in your guide.
The fit shows up as VERY cap-stable, even with all mods active. Can this be right?? Here is my char. in eveboard if you'd like to double-check my support skills: My char
If this fit is indeed cap stable, can I leave my armor repper on all the time?
2. I know nothing about armor tanking. I noticed your Mach fit has two 'Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II' in the lows. Are those just place holders? Should I be swapping them out for two active armor hardeners based on the NPCs I'm facing? Or are there specific missions where I leave the EANM II's in place?
3. In EFT, I am only seeing 0.9 au / sec difference between the mid-grade and high-grade implant set. (8.5 au / sec versus 7.6 au / sec). In your experience, is it worth all the extra ISK for the high-grade set for an extra 0.9 au / sec ?
4. For your Wolf fit here , you don't mention how or when to make use of the Small Nosferatu II. I have never used one of these, so any guidance in that section would be much appreciated.
5. (Sorry - this is a nitpick.) There are a few places where you use the word 'thermic' in mod names. But in EveMon, nothing showed up when I copy-pasted. Then I realized I need to change 'thermic' to 'thermal'. Is that something you might want to update?
6. Would you be open to a slightly different format for Section 2 - Missions? I believe I have come up with a way to make it faster to read and glance through for reference. I would also be happy to write it for you to save you the hassle.
Again, I can't overstate how awesome your guide is. Please don't take above as criticism.

Well, the Cap booster won't be running all the time, in fact ideally you'd want to use the cap booster as little as possible. Once your skills reach a certain point you technically don't even need the cap booster as you'd be blitzing through the mission so quickly that the cap you have will be enough to get you through the mission. The reason it's there, especially on that fit is the fact that it's kind of a 'starter' Mach build with a T2 gun version being the optimal build. The cap booster is there for times where something outside of Eve happens and you need the extra cap or you get surprised scrammed etc. and some missions can be somewhat tight on cap. Sansha Slaver 2 has some pretty nasty deeps for example.
Quote:2. Pretty much. For Sansha missions for example replacing them with an EM and Therm hardener is highly recommended. I guess I do sometimes forget to explicitly mention the extreme basics of mission running since it's been years since I've learned those lessons myself. It's second nature by now. You'll notice in the fit I do have hardeners listed as being 'in the cargo' ;)

That is a good point although I myself don't run with the HG Omega (Use a much cheaper 15% warp speed implant for 8 au/s). However while the warp speed difference is only around .4 au/s on the Mach the Hi Grade set also gives +1 to each Attribute over the mid grade set as well. I'm at 68mill SP at the moment and I still don't have *every* skill related to blitzing maxed out ;)
Quote:4. For your Wolf fit here , you don't mention how or when to make use of the Small Nosferatu II. I have never used one of these, so any guidance in that section would be much appreciated. Well you use it when you get in range :) Though to be honest I've been running the alt rocket fit one for ages now and I don't really notice the difference. It could be down to skills (fitting and tanking) though so it'd be down to each pilot to test it out to see what works for them. I would say it's slightly less forgiving on timings I think if you don't run the Nos.

No problem, that's a good catch and it is something I tend to do, should be an easy fix! By all means, I'd love to have a look at it and it'd be silly to say I appreciate corrections and then be all salty af about it..

Thanks so much for offering your time to answer my noob questions. I've been a career Golem run-level-4s pilot, so a lot of these fits are very new to me.
I derped on #1 and #3 - forgot about the cap booster and the extra +1 of attribute enhancement.
I'll work on a separate Google doc and see if I can get something nice looking as an example for Section 2. |

Sorry, one other question.
Is the Fast Talk II, III, and IV skill in the guide just for folks with low sec status that need to improve it? I've got a 5.0 sec rating and am guessing I don't need to include Fast Talk in my training... or is there something I'm not getting? |

I'll have to remove it form the guide as it has zero bearing on blitzing at all. Thanks!

So I just ran a 3h blitz run again and even recorded everything.. except it looks like my voice input
I tested it like 4 times before starting but it looks like at some point after the last test and actually starting the recording my mic.. stopped working (software issue from the looks of it). It's the first time I actually try and record something with voice so yea, FML.
That said I got a good solid 250 mill/h even with the lower isk/lp ratio and ran almost every burner. Didn't get serp base or blood agent or minmatar team burner. But I did get plenty of the other burners so I can confirm there's nothing different, broken or sytrange regarding the missions, the rate of the missions being given or in fact even drops as I did get a Cal Nav Co-Proc and a Clone trooper tag along with plenty of implants from storyline and scarlet.
I'll... see about releasing the video once it's processed although it did record at a low bitrate since i had some initial issues with it timing out or something.
Ah well, might just put some music in with it and release it as is.

Hi again Anize. Thanks for doing the video - that's a lot of work and will benefit people.
One more quick question.
I noticed in the skill plan - it includes Thermal Shield Compensation and Kinetic Shield Compensation, both trained to IV. I can't seem to find any kinetic or thermal shield resistance amplifiers or other mods in all of your fits / guide that would benefit from these skills.
Did I miss a module somewhere in your guide, or could these two be removed from the plan? |

They'd be pretty useful if someone decided to mission in one of the other faction's systems as there's a couple of SOE systems scattered around or if for some reason they find a good item to farm at say a caldari (Kin/Therm) or Amarr (EM/Therm) or Galente (Therm/Kin) based corp. Also it's generally a decent support skill to train and to 4 it's not a lot of training.

Skimmed it and looked good, guess I got to replace all my fleeting webs with t2 when I get around to plexing again. And should probably buy another barghest to screw around with cruise vs rhml.
I sometimes use a thermal resist amp vs the blood base, think I carry it in my cargo as something to swap to if dps gets too high. I still used the gila fit though. The constant drone aggo is annoying but easy to just endlessly send t1 vespas out with a mobile depot. I also tried a navy drake which I had a very good run with, but also had a very bad run with. Might look at t1 drake with command bursts at some point.
also on the mach I typically just leave the 2 EANM on all the time as I don't want to waste time swapping hardeners about, plus with max skills everything melts so fast it hasn't been an issue. Also the mach is so fast it can reposition to min/max damage depending on what you need. on most of my shield ships I just run 1 or 2 invluns, think I still run shields on my arty machs.

Hi Anize -
I'm putting together the fit you listed for the Gurista base burner
I think I found a small correction needed:
You list 'Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I', but I am 99% you meant 'Faint Epsilon Scoped Warp Scrambler I' ?
Thanks! |

Can I give some humble advice? The right hand of ZZ seems a good mission for me. You only need to kill Zor the battleship, and it will drop a hackcard which people are buying at 10mil each from contracts. Can't remember the isk and lp payout, but I think that with an additional 10 mil is good enough, and it's also rumored that Zor has a chance to drop a good implant. Damsel in distress is similar, you just blow up the structure (which takes a while, and you want a long-range ship for rang tank), then kill the Zor. If you already have a damsel, you can hand in mission with that and come back later with an interceptor to pick the new Damsel and the hackcard. haven't tested the real isk/hr of either because I can fly none of the blitz ship |

Damsel will never be a good blitzing mission, especially if you have to go back to pick up the damsel. wastes waay to much time.

In my own draft document, I revamped Section 2 (which removes no-longer blitzable missions among other things.) I sent it to Anize but haven't heard back with comments. If you'd like to take a peek and offer feedback, let me know. I'd still have to insert Zazz details.
(If used, I would keep her name on it, and not include mine.)

I avoid doing (and recommending) missions against any of the 4 major factions, Amarr especially because SOE storyline quests has a slight negative effect on Amarr standings as well. If Amarr standings is not a concern then those missions tend to be quite profitable to full clear for tags.

Big ditto on this, even just the blitzing advice has been invaluable.
Also, if not for your guide and the threads like this one where you and others offer advice, I don't know if i would have ever had the confidence to give them a try.
