I don't mean "logistics" in the sense of a class of ships in Eve Online. I mean in the more traditional sense, i.e. hauling stuff around, organizing stuff, organizing an endeavor, etc.
I'm at the point where it has become a major headache. I have a wormhole I've been farming, and chasing the thing down every day and moving all the stuff I have to move (battleship, tons of modules, ammunition, epithal, etc) just takes tons of time and energy. It would be easy if I just had one ship, but I can't farm the thing like I want with one ship.
What seems ideal would be an industrial big enough to stick my battleship in, plus everything else. But as far as I know, there is no "normal" industrial that can do this. I've taken a Bestower and maxed out the lows with cargo expanders, and the rig slots with carghold optimization rigs but it doesn't get close.
Anyway, could someone point me in a direction? What's the next step up in ships? What's the smallest ship with a hangar... would that be a carrier of some type? Or is there some other kind of ship? What about hardcore missioners who run level 4s all over... what do they use to get from place to place?
Any ideas or tips appreciated - thanks. |

It's under the "Ore" section in the ship tree.
Has a ship maintenance bay that can fit several fitted ships up to around 3ish battleships in terms of space.

Didn't know about this ship. Looks good, but holy crap, what a time sink to get into one, not to mention an ISK sink as well. Anything out there a little cheaper on the wallet and SPs? |

For as long as you want to farm that wormhole you will no longer have logistic problems. Except for exporting loot and importing fuel that is.
As for all your HS logistics in a single run, the Bowhead is indeed the way to go.
Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format.
Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

If you don't mind repacking your battleship and losing the rigs in the process, I would suggest Deep Space Transports. Especially the Mastodon is a beast.
I used to build these ships and sold them to several friends in WH corps- they were stunned by how great those ships performed for your everyday wormholing needs. As far as I know all the Mastodons I built are still alive and in use- they are very hard to kill, especially if fitted for tank + agility and flown by a decent pilot.

Well, thats the thing about living in wormholes, logistics is difficult and costly but so are the rewards.
Honestly, you should join a corp that is in a dedicated wormhole that would handle those logistics for you. Otherwise, if you want to move a ton of stuff, youre gonna need an expensive and slow hauling ship, like the bowhead or Orca. Thats just the way it goes. |
