Edited by: Alpine 69 on 07/04/2007 21:11:46 Aren't you sick and tired of people buying Hacs, faction ships and modules, for what looks like a really high price, except for that it misses 3 zero's?
For Example;
[WTB] Cerberus - 200 Million isk!!! -Required Items: Cerberus -Money Offered: 200.000 isk
These contracts are terribly annoying and therefor; I've found a way not to see those stupid WTB scams, just simply change Min Price to 1 isk, you won't see them anymore. Unfortunately, this might also stop you from vieuwing legit want to buy contracts aswell, however, these are very rare, and most people just visit the contract page for buying things.
So all of you contract windowshoppers, enjoy!
P.S - If you like to send me isk or ships, please do! Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes -Sahwoolo Etoophie ([email protected]) Noes not again =( |

Or, CCP could goto any high school and pick up a Economics student to sit down and help them with the interface for trades.
When you are creating a contract the "confirmation" screen states VERY clearly the following information:
I will pay X.XX isk I will recieve X.XX isk Items for sale X Items required X
Now when the contact is recieved by the other party CCP decided to cryptically not present ANY of this information except color coded numbers and descriptions of the items.
Basically the consumer is left to their own devices to figure out the interface. ****s poor effort in finishing this interface off ESPECIALLY when all the relevent information is obviously available to CCP to present in the contract itself.
One begs the question WHY CCP has dropped the ball on this issue? Was it intentional to give scammers a opening, or just the complete failing of the interface designer.
Either way it creates confusion, weakens the contract system and hinders trade.
Fix it CCP.

also watch out for want to buy contracts where the person recieves isk from you as well as the item it is far less easy to recognize then the dropped zero trick except for the isk amount for the contract is red, as Taikun Brunel sort of explained, but didnt really go into depth on.

I don't believe it's prudent to ruin the perfectly legitimate and very handy uses of Want to Buy contracts by eliminating them just because it's possible to rip people off by setting a misleading price. Nor do I expect that CCP's main concern with the contract system design is to replace the end user's common sense and forcibly prevent them from hurting themselves.
