Hello industrialists!
Rens has far too long been a non-entity. Back in the good oleGÇÖ daysGǪ whenever the hell that wasGǪ Rens actually was a decent market hub.
Due to a litany of factors, itGÇÖs dropped off. Only people who use it are ones who have to, or divert over to Hek, even Dodixie.
With the long flight to Jita, Rens is desolate.
Nothing against those places, but letGÇÖs try and make Rens great again.
With the influx of new players, most of them go to missioning or indy to start. WouldnGÇÖt it be cool if we, as a community, weGÇÖre so malicious and sadistic towards them? The newbros now are the ones who will help keep the game going after all us bittervets stop playing due to either marriage or die from complications from drinking too much Monster energy drinks.
IGÇÖve made a channel: Minmatar Industrialists IGÇÖve also made a mailing list by the same name.
GÇ£YouGÇÖre just helping gankers/CODE alt! Etc etcGÇ¥ Read the MOTD in the channel.
IGÇÖm calling on those local to Rens and those in nullsec, from Cobalt Edge to Providence, down to Paragon Soul and over to Cache; the South, the East, and all that encompasses.
Divert your industrial output to Rens. Lower the prices, compete, get people staying in the Minmatar (and even Ammatar) empires. Instead of smashing everything into Jita, letGÇÖs spread it out and give more breathing room to new players. |

Tax and brokerage increases with the Citadel expansion made interregional trade a lot less profitable. It is more difficult to simply buy stuff in Jita and relist it profitably in one of the smaller hubs. For those of us who manufacture and sell in the smaller hubs - these are the best of times! The customers are still there but a lot of the competition has gone away. |

#MakeHekGreatAgain
Long have the high class Rensians looked down on our noble pirate tradehub, situated in a quaint .5 with ease of access for pirates and FW members fighting for the republic. Alas Hek is now better than Rens Op Success?
Move all tradehub activities to Hek ASAP. |

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Rens was never great. Hampered by a low quality work force the Minmater regions were never competitive. I guess you could call them "vibrant". As such the best employer in the area is the Sister of EVE bureau near Hek.
Until CCP makes it possible to bribe mission agents to a new home system - which would be the most hilarious expansion ever - Rens is doomed to remain a backwater. |

it would probably be best if both Rens and Hek actually moved to Eystur as it will get most of the location benefits of Hek but have better security rating. Having the main hub in a 0.5 security system is just asking for gankers as they'll have so much extra time to finish off their assault. |

One of the main things that makes Jita "the hub" for all New Eden is the moongoo market. It's a huge aspect if you think that all the people living in the south prefer to make 2-3 extra jumps (JF jumps) to get there rather than having to deal with the miserable scarcity of resources (raw, advanced or components as well, not to mention the prices) that affects both Hek and Rens.
If you can convince all the moon miners in the south to sell their raw goo in Minmatar space that'd be a first step. You should also provide them with all the other stuff needed to build T2's and of course with the manufactured products as well (ships and modules at least) or the situation would be even more miserable since they would have to make them extra jumps anyway in order to buy the stuff they need to build or fly their doctrines and whatnot.
If you can convince them about this "idea" you should also provide them with a more appropriate hub, since both Rens and Hek are too far from any good lowsec system where they can anchor their jump freighters and most of all they are kind of mutually exclusive: the systems good to arrive to Hek are bad to reach Rens and vice versa. So, a decent middle waypoint could be Eram, which is also 0.8 sec or even Vullat, which is 1.
Now, if you can accomplish all those things above, you only need to find several cubic frackton of money, in the trillions, lots of haulers ready to work for few months with no payback guaranteed (it may be profitable, it may be a disaster) and someone who can cover all the eventual losses.
Good luck. |

I don't understand markets or profits from manufacturing. You guys all have really detailed analysis of how markets work and how to make isk by building/moving. I want to learn how to do this so I can play eve on my laptop around my girlfriend, and do more industry/market based gameplay. Can anyone help me? Where do I learn about all this? |

Those who get really into trading create spreadsheets that link in-game prices, and compare those prices either with other regions or between buy/sell orders within the trade hubs themselves and find items that have a margin for profits.
For manufacturing it mostly comes down to acquiring materials for as cheap as you can, transporting them to your industry station, which has your blueprints, and building items that will sell. Then transporting these items to locations to sell them, usually trade hubs. Finding those best items to build is what you'll have to find out.
Also there are lots of tutorials on youtube if you search. |

The issue i have with hek VIII Moon 12 Boundless Creation Factory.
Boundless Creation has but 1x level 4 security agent.
located in Evati system 0.2 security.
It makes the location the MOST difficult of all hubs to gain beneficial standings.
for broker fee reductions and basic scrap metal reprocessing.

it would take a large effort to make minmitar space great
i have been based in metropolis for a while now and its not easy- but i have made some good isk
i can wait days to sell stuff in hek or transport it to jita to sell in an hour Omber is known as the worst hisec ore- so miners avoid it lv4 agents are lacking- so pve players avoid it its a long way to jita or amarr- the 2 biggest markets i find minerals are cheaper than jita for t1 production but t2 materials are more expensive and its better to import them public courier contracts in metropolis can take a while to be accepted and completed hek is 0.5- it doesnt encourage freighters to go there for fear of being ganked
2016 has seen a lot of Amarr (grr) related events in game. I'd like to see both Minmitar and angels get some love in many regards- Minnie space can be improved and I think their ships/ weapons could do with some help too

The only thing that would make Rens great again would be a alternative route to Jita IMHO. Connect Anbald to Reisen or Flost to Tuuriainas and the whole Minmatar Space would flourish. |

It hurts my pride a bit but I'm starting to relocate from Rens to Hek. Just too much more growth in activity, even if the monthly economic data show the two hubs more or less on par. |
