Most of my time in Eve I have done explo to earn isk. I recently started ratting in null with an Ishtar. After doing a Forsaken Hub I got a Fleet Staging Point. I saw in a video that they could be done in an Ishtar but I dont really want to be taking an Ishtar 8 jumps in null. Can this be done in a Tengu or Proteus? Would make travel a bit easier. |

Fleet Staging Point escalations are the total cancer IMO given they consist of three parts, as you can see here . This means you need to travel three times to get to the final escalations, just imagine 3* 7 or 8 jumps. I am not even sure if escalation to part 2 or part 3 is guaranteed. Part two of Shadow Serpentis Fleet Staging Point is tricky in particular because there will be two Serpentis Energy Neutralizer in it which can ruin ur cap and tank. Why would u bother even trying it while u can enjoy Serpentis 10/10 which is the easiest of 10/10s in eve (some might argue maze is the easiest if u have smart-bombing drone Proteus). |

How hard are 10/10's? Ship wise Im just getting into the Tengu and Proteus and also use Ishtars. Im not very knowledgeable in the combat/ratting so Im not sure if I am skill enough to do them. |

Proteus and neuts don't do very well together. your guns turn off . Tengu is better for sites with neuts. Heavy missiles help you get range, and they will still fire after you cap out. I have flown both, and I take both, if I am dual boxing. Solo, it's Tengu every time. |

It has been about a year since I have done the Serpentis Fleet Shipyard (Serpentis 10/10) but I believe it has remained unchanged. You can find related information here. Tengu/Ishtar/Proteus can tank this escalation. I used to benefit from a Machariel and Tengu for running them to reduce the completion time. So this escalation is pretty straightforward. You jump in and kill rats in room one and room 2 and check the Overseer Battleship wrecks for possible green drops. There are three gates that you can take in the room #2. One of them goes to Alpha Hangar, one goes to Beta Hangar and the other one goes to Fleet HQ. Alpha and Beta Hangar are optional so most ppl ignore them and go directly to Fleet HQ. When u arive in the Fleet HQ room, you will get webbed immediately by the Serpentis Stronghold. So turn ur prop mod on and stay 60km away from the Serpentis Stronghold and shoot it (you may kill some of rats depending on ur tank-ability). As mentioned in the guide "Serpentis Stronghold shoots Citadel Thermal Torpedos and webs within 50 km. If all player ships are greater than 60 km from the Serpentis Stronghold, it won't repair its armor damage. It still repairs full shields every few seconds, but it can be killed more easily this way." This means HM tengu is ur best friend :D
