I, like many others, have decided to jump into the new trend of INVENTION and making T2 BPCs. Luckily, I already had a decent start on the science and industry skills so I went out and purchased a few of the "ridiciously" priced faction encryption skillbooks and started reading the forums to try and learn how this whole thing worked seeings how it was implemented without any direction/tutorials from CCP. As I read the posts I see there is an apparent need to use decryptors (even though listed as optional ). So now I start training the necessary skills and start reviewing the BPOs to put together a shopping list. It seems that the rare 1.3 chance modifier decryptors are hard to find on the market at a decent price (even in the lag-fest system called Jita), so I decide to put my Hacking 4 skills to use and try and find some on my own. I have had good luck finding decrytors in the Amarr COSMOS public hacking dungeon at Garisas (The Blood Crypt) but would now like to hit some of the other COSMOS public hacking dungeons to increase my inventory for the three other factions (and maybe even get lucky and find the encryption skillbooks I'm missing). Does anyone know of a post or a site that lists where these hack sites are located at? When I look at a lot of the sites that reference the COSMOS agents they list multiple complexes but you can't tell if it is an archeo or hack site. From recent posts I have seen what I think indicates that the Gallente COSMOS public dungeon is in Deltole at the Contested Gallente Skeleton Comet complex. What about the ones for the Minmatar and Calari COSMOS hack sites? Thanks in advance and also thanks to all the inventors out there trying to figure out the formula of how this whole damn invention thing works. We are all wasting lots of "iskies" experimenting. Fly safe.

I haven't tried hacking in either, but my notes say the caldari one in is friggi and one of the minnie ones is tvink (there is another, but I am drawing a blank on the system).

Not unless you bring 20 friends and plan to suicide the campers. They're either macroing or have no lives and watch their screen constantly.

Use a fast inty or af to agro as much rats and possible and lead them to the ones interfer with your hacking, then floor it. Worked a few times. The best decryptor doesnt seem to be found in the cosmos plex's either, or at least not the assembly instructions (minmatar), at least we havent found any and that with MANY HOURS of hacking. Found a lot of the other ones though.

I find all the best stuff at radar exploration sites, The stuff at the cosmos hacking sites arent terribly good (decent though) and they are perma camped 23/7 by macro hackers.
You can bump them off though, they dont move closer because nobodys there. ------------------------------- C.D's Formula for success ------------------------------- Credit Card = Game Time Card Gametime Card = ISK Therefore Credit Card = ISK.

They do move closer because the "Approach" command doesn't stop when you hit 0m from the can.
And I have yet to find any of the best decryptor in a radar site in 0.0 or the skillbook, but I GUARANTEE you that about 1 book per hour spawns in those complexes in high sec. I used to make billions off it.

Agro all site while macro are here and leave. If they'll be still alive after return - ask for their tank setup.

Comme back with some good logistic ships and help the aggroed rats to track and rep them as needed. Messes seriously with any kind of tank setup

I found an assembly instructions chip in a 0.5 system in Heimatar by doing a system scan using probes. If I remember correctly it was a gravimetric signature and was guarded by 5 frigate rats. I then hacked into the cans and got an assembly instructions as well as another chip. It can't hurt to try.

Sometimes in there, just "some" of the rats will agro you if you stay in one place. With a good enough tank, you can usually tank them, although the spawns are quite nasty and you better be really good with your tank. The guy's idea about "drawing" them all to the camper guy with an inty seems like a good idea.
Even with a faction tank, though, bring lots of friends.

Not recommended, AFAIK, you get flagged as Criminal, which makes Concord show up and hurt you plenty.

Edited by: Iris Lyania on 12/12/2007 16:36:52 Jup, all towers have been removed from COSMOS complexes. You can't find decryptors there anymore. Decryptors now spawn in RADAR sites found via exploration. I just wonder how the hell i shall build my COSMOS BPC's now, because they all require decryptors to build them. CCP please change the material cost on them in a way that only COSMOS related items are needed to built the items !!!!!

I hope they dont. It seems clear that the cosmos areas were kind of a crappy idea from the get go. It is just a place for macro'ers to congregate. Exploration should be required to find items instead of a one stop shop for everything. It would be really cool if CCP made moons and planets scannable for archaeology though. That would add a whole new aspect.
