If you've ever looked at all the ships undocking from jita, you'll notice a good percentage of them slowly aligning into the wall and warping through it. I propose either:
Extruding the hangar door to have it protrude from the rest of the structure. Essentially remodeling the caldari station type.
moving the gates or the station to have 99% of traffic align to a sensible vector. Also has the effect of having incoming traffic being in roughly the same area as outgoing traffic. |

According to lore, warp drive takes you slightly out of phase with reality. This is why you can warp through planets, suns, and such without crashing into them.
There is no problem here. |

Tthe Jita un-dock is a visual representation of everything EvE is about, players you and about doing what they want, ships getting shot at and yes that includes ships warping through a station which fits precisely with the lore of how EvE warp drive works.

The only thing that looks wrong with this would be the crappy halfassed beards Lugh and Fek are sporting. Shave that crap off!

Moving stargates potentially messes with peoples bookmarks, same with messing with stations. For something as trivial as making it 'look good', doubt its gonna happen.

Looks allright to me.
The one I see as odd are the sideways power-slide warping freighters but that's an entirely different can of worms. |

The truth is i made this thread to test the following. A simple QoL idea couldn't possibly be a bad idea right? No.
Every single thread gets shot down by one of about the same 5 people saying the weakest argument I've ever heard, and then gets dogpiled by everyone else falling over eachother to agree with them. I could say something as simple as fixing a typo made somewhere, and I'd probably get told "It adds character to the game" followed by at least 5 people furiously nodding thier heads up and down and reminiscing about typos long past and how they miss various typos that were in the game for ages and that they should come back.
Making suggestions in this forum is like shooting a cannon at a wall, problem is that wall is a 20ft thick block of titanium.

our job is to tell you what is wrong with your idea. Your job is to refine it into something that works.
Just because something is QOL doesn't mean implementing it isn't detrimental. If you want an echo chamber of people just agreeing with you I'm sorry.

Eh. Look. I like good ideas that make the game better. Making the game better is worth the time and effort to do right and deal with whatever the adverse consequences might be. Hell, a really good idea has consequences that can't be predicted; emergent gameplay and all that.
This, however, wasn't a good idea. I'm not sure if it even qualifies as QoL in general -- maybe yours but certainly not mine and apparently not many other people's.
Years ago, long enough that I'm not going to even bother finding it, I wrote a very long post on why the person proposing the change has to first make a solid case on why things should change in the first place, then actually propose a change, then head off counterarguments. If you can do all that convincingly, congratulations, you win F&I. Simply getting frustrated that your idea isn't immediately considered good is no way to convince anyone of anything. I for one don't even see the issue you're describing as an issue at all. Is it for you? Is it for others? Make your case! |

Just replace it with a keepstar and be done with it. Then have the Serpentis crash a couple vanquishers into it. What could go wrong?

This isn't a qol idea. It has no tangible gain, no positive change to game play at all. Instead it has the issue of messing with players game.
If i start a thread saying there should be dinosaurs in eve and it gets shot down, its not because everyone's a ****. Some ideas are just bad.
This is what a good idea might look like: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=49217
