I'd do anything for this feature :) Make it an isk sink or something, 10m per deleted skill?

why? what possible reason would you have for deleting skill other than to hack someones account and destroy it

only for oog cash, to limit hacking damage as mentioned. Imo not worth the effort as i doubt many ppl would use it. ---

Yes i agree. I am unable to see any reason for such. No skill is that useless that it deserves to become deleted. Skills you got from charcreation, may not be usefull at the moment but maybe later and than you have to learn them again.
So even when CCP make skills deleteable why in hell should i pay isk to delete a skill? It cost isk to buy a skill and time to learn it.
The only thing such a skill deletion should have as about hundreds "are you sure?" requests before the skill is finaly deleted^^

Edited by: Karma on 14/04/2007 20:13:18 I'd gladly delete all of my industry skills... MINING in particular... even the few projectile gunnery skills I got...
though to be frank... rather than deleting them... why not the ability to hide them? or flag them as inactive (which'd send them to their own tab)
edit: I think he meant moneysink as in, we'd have to pay to delete skills. _________________ "No Worries" Karma, fool on the hull. |

Deleting old skills and trading the training time for time in other skills would be cool though.
Wish you hadn't been pushed into training astrogeology 5 by the guy who got you into eve? Still have to do astrometrics 5 for that carrier you want?
Trade them!

You really do not want this. Think about every other menu in EVE? What will happen? CCP will put "Delete skill" and "Train skill" right next to each other.

skill filter > skill deletion
As has been said umpteen times theres seriously no reason to want to untrain skills that a filter wouldnt cover (with the added bonus of not screwing you when you *do* need said skill). _________________ [SAK] Alumnus--And Proud Of It! -- aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base?

Hrm Skill Deletion? Ok I see your skill deletion and raise you up by one to Character Deletion, Thats right why not delete your character instead, atleast then we would have one less idgit online.
Actually can I have an Ewar module that deletes your skills for you? It could be fun ye? Rofl.

Swapping skills for a same ranked skill possibly, but i agree there is no use in deleting a skill

Only reason I can see for this would be to make clones cheaper with low SP characters. Won't make any difference in the long run. ---

moving SP from one skill to another... I can't really say that would be a good idea.
you'd only need to really learn a few skills, and then keep flipping them around more or less whatever way you wanted...
even if you only allow it between skills of the same rank, or even the same primary/Secondary stat-combo... it's still way too overpowering. perhaps if it was something you could do only extremely rarely... or if it cost huge amounts per skill.
