My suggestion is that they remove the option to choose the direction of the D-Scan.
Currently you press the "V" key and must click on a location to run the D-Scan, this is very bad when you are doing a scan on the system.
My suggestion is for you to pass the "V" key and it simply runs the D-Scan, without having to click anything, it simply runs the D-Scan as a shortcut key. |

I'm not sure I understand...I have d-scan bound to my space bar. I just hit the space bar and it scans. You can do this already |

This. I'm not sure what you're doing, but it's not running any D-Scan I've ever used.

Exactly, however if you press and hold the space bar your dscan does not run and is waiting for you to click somewhere to scan it.
My suggestion is to remove this type of thing by simply clicking on the spacebar, with no option to click anywhere.
Expiring squeeze and hold the space bar you will understand what I say and what I am suggesting. |

You don't have to hold it and you don't have to click anywhere, just tap it once and it scans. I'm still not sure what you're talking about.
I d-scan every 10 seconds I'm logged in and undocked. I've never held it down and clicked in space as you are describing. |

For you to have the function of executing dscan with a key, you must first use the latest version of dscan (activating in the settings). |

Do you use the new version of dscan or the old one? |

this is not how the current DScan works... maybe you're describing a different mechanic?

okay so i see what you are talking about and -1
he wants it so that when you hold down the scan hotkey it will continuously scan. currently holding it down lets you then click on an object belt/station ect and it will scan that direction. this is very very useful and should not be changed because you are to lazy to push a button every few seconds
Just this ... it's not about being lazy but about being functional, you could at least give the option to enable or disable this kind of function.
I particularly prefer it without the click option, just by pressing the "V" key and scanning it where it is pointing. |

Oh, I didn't realize that's what you were asking for. No, absolutely not. You shouldn't get the intel of d-scan with no effort. how hard is it to hit a key every few seconds? |
