i see people advertising 'alliance building' and every blue moon i'll find something about someone selling an alliance.
what exactly is involved in the buying and/or selling of an alliance?
and how hard would it be to buy/sell an established alliance, i.e. one that already has a number of member corporations? like, what would be involved in so doing? |

Hey I might be able to add a little bit of insight
C-R-A recently bought an alliance. We paid well under the standard 1b for the alliance. Basically, all it involved was C-R-A joining, then after 24 hours, all corps (or majority) declare support for the new alliance boss corp.
I believe 24 hours after the support is declared, ownership is transferred across.
One of the great things about this, is that you don't need any empire/alliance skills to take over ownership. Only the first person who creates the alliance needs these skills.
That's all I really know about them, hope it helps

Contact Hardin of CVA.
This is a service he offers and AFAIK is reliable and trustworthy. Should be able to explain the process and tell you the cost.

I have made alliances for people in the past too. Since I had the character trained, I may as well put it to use more than once. Let me know if you want one made.

thanks everyone.
so, say someone buys an alliance with half a dozen or so corps already in it. what would be the *proper* way to transfer control of said alliance?
for the executor (doing the selling) to hold a vote, then ensure that all member corps actually vote for the new *owner* of the alliance?
or is it possible for the executor to create a vote and then leave the alliance? would the vote still be in existence? would the (former) executor's vote still count towards the total yes votes? and would it take a majority vote of yes (or whatever) to change ownership, or would the 1 (or 2) votes be sufficient? |

doesn't look like there's going to be a fix to the PCI transfer um *problem* any time soon. so i guess we may be in the market to get an alliance built after all.
thanks for the information you guys provided here. we'll be discussing the alliance issue soon and will probably get in touch about building one in the near future. |
